Changes to Youtube embedding?

User rdhd noticed a problem with seeing embedded music videos in General Discussion sub-forum. I see the same problem across several browsers. Has there been a change by YouTube that now prevents the forum software from direct linking?

Hmm, it does look like it is broken (I just tried to do it and failed). Youtube probably changed how they were supplying links. That embed mechanism was a barely-workable trick that probably can't be fixed now with the current forum software I'm afraid. =(

EDIT: for those wondering why, it's in part because the way I did the last embed gets around the TMF's fairly strong HTML censorship tools (which kept getting abused to inject spam and viruses), and finding something that the system doesn't rewrite as forbidden is hard. That one generated a weird iFrame which was not at all like normal YT embedding but at least functioned.
