Chat Room Trivia Submissions...

Hello fellow TMF'ers.

Many of you are familiar with the Sunday Night Trivia game we play in the chat room. Last week some suggestions were made, that I would like to address....

The idea for having themed trivia nights was a good one, but would be hard to accomplish. We typically go through 40-50 questions a night, and trying to focus that many questions on one topic would not be an easy task. It may also be unfair to chatters who only get to play trivia on an occassional basis, who then may wind up wishing to play on an evening we are having a theme or topic they do not agree with, or feel they know nothing about. It is an idea to consider in the future perhaps, but not a completely feasible one at this time.

The other suggestion, though, I feel we can work with. That suggestion was allowing trivia participants, or forum members in general, to submit trivia questions for use during the weekly games. So I am now offering that opportunity now. If you wish to submit trivia questions of your own, please submit them to me at [email protected] . The questions can be on any topic you wish, including (but not limited to): sports, tv, music, movies, adult, human, food, geography, history, and misc. trivia, to questions about our fetish, or even the forum itself (such as an author of a popular tickling story). There is no limit on the amount of questions you may send. However, I likely will not use more then 1 or 2 submissions from each person on any given Sunday, just so that no one can accuse anyone else of cheating or having an upper hand.

So put those minds to work, and get those fingers typing! I'll be looking forward to reading (ask popping!) your trivia question submissions! Thanks!

Just replying to my own thread to resurface it. As of yet, I have only received ONE email of trivia question submissions. Where are the rest of you that were screaming to be heard with this idea in the chat room last week, hmmmmm? I expect to see some more emails and submissions soon. Don't make me break out the whip!

Since you mention it, I have a question about Trivia. I want so badly to take part in it, but alas I work early on Monday mornings, and staying up that late on Sunday night is not conducive to a Peppy Dave.😀

Since we Chat Mods have access to the Trivia functions, is there anything stating that one of us can't try to set a round up at another time, one that may be convenient for some of us 9-5er's? Or perhaps a themed Trivia hosted by one of us well-versed in the theme? (Assuming you can get enough interested people, that is.)

Just curious.

I really like that idea. I had made a similar suggestion one night. My idea was to pick a few themes on a Monday and put them into a poll. The poll would conclude on Thursday and whichever theme was picked would be the one used on the following Sunday.That would give 3 days to come up with the questions.

I am also willing to volunteer to help out with researching the themes and administering the polls.

Any and ALL trivia is welcome! Whether it be sports, language, literary, or any other topic you can dream up, send em along 🙂

As for the other suggestions, Myriads has final say on all trivia and chat room procedures. If you'd really like to see about heading up a game of trivia on another day/time of the week, Dave, pop the question to Myriads. All chat room mods have the ability to run trivia, so it would just be a matter of learning the controls (although they are pretty self explanitory...lol).

As for the themed topic idea, Jen, go ahead and start a poll in the polls section to see how many people would be interested in something like that. If enough people interested, I may consider giving it a shot once and seeing how it goes. If it goes REALLY well, maybe I'll start a "trivia committee", who will be in charge of digging up the themed questions and answers for any given topic that gets voted in. All of this will have to be with Myriads approval of course, but providing it would be my headache, and not his, he should be kosher with it...LOL.

I like the idea of having a chat on a different day and time - I second the motion! And ... my slowwwwwww typing makes me fall behind... is there anyway to slow down or even sabotage the keyborads of other fast typing players? Oooppssss....should have e-mailed that question, not posted it!

I (half-jokingly?) suggested once that the more dominant players should be placed under the handicap of having to play while getting tickled. The faster the typist, the more ticklers-- let's say one tickler per 20 wpm? 🙂

Kinda gives one incentive to break that 100 wpm goal, doesn't it?
