CHRIS CANDIDO
1972 – 2005

TNA Wrestling joins the entire wrestling world in mourning the untimely death of Chris Candido on Thursday night.

TNA is deeply devastated by the loss of Chris, who touched the lives of millions of fans around the world during his successful career.

We hope everyone will keep Candido’s friends and family in their thoughts and prayers as we say goodbye to a friend

TNAwrestling.com will post a statement from Candido's family as soon as possible

Damnit, this just seems to have no end in sight...

Candido was a solid mid carder in WWF, as well as ECW, and was married to Tammy "Sunny" Sytch.

Yet again, I am in tears, literally, as yet another brother, another young talent, is taken before his prime.

33 fucking years old.... :dropatear :sowrong:

Rest in Peace, Chris.....

You're among the best of the best now, man...

You're on Heaven's card now, Brah....

Cause of death just determined for Candido

Chris Candido's brother Johnny posted the following message on the USAProWrestling.net message board this evening:

"I find it only fitting you hear the truth from me about the death of my bestfriend, brother, and soulmate. Chris died tonight due to a blood clot brought on by complications with his surgery.

I just want to tell everyone that in their sorrow, find a way to be happy that he went out the way he wanted to...on top of the world, blonde, tan, and loving life up until the last minute. Every ounce of my brother loved this sport, and for him to go out 2 or 3 years ago wouldn't have been a fitting end to the life of such a determined, passionate, and benevolent human being.

I truly view my brother as an angel as will all who knew him. Thanks to everyone for all your positive press, Chris went out a happy man and will forever live on as the(one of) greatest of all time. He would have had it no other way."

damn this is just some truly sad news. People that dont watch wrestling always tell me whats so great about wrestling, its fake. Well its about the great lengths that wrestlers will go too, just to entertain the fans.

This is truly sad news to hear 🙁 🙁 ,for this was a very talented guy that brighted shine in talent as much as every federation he was in could allow(he was real world title material, let me tell you),amid all of his personal problems that he had that drove him from one federation to the next, and it looked like he finally found himself a comfortable home in TNA to re-build his career and really show what a reckoning force he was. And it's really sad that another wrestling related death has happened, since the last five to six years have been full of wrestler deaths("Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig,Rick Rude,Road Warrior Hawk, the Renegade,"Gentleman" Chris Adams, and Owen Hart).

Rest in peace,Chris, for we'll all sorely miss you.

WHAT???? Chris Candido is dead? Oh my God hes the same age as me! Terry Gordy, Curt Henning, Louie Spiccoli, etc. Why do wrestlers have the Grim Reaper on their tail? Candido was in Triple Threat with Shane Douglas and Bam Bam Bigelow and was a damn fine wrestler with loads of charisma. He had the "it" factor to make it in that competitive buisness. He also was a man of principal as he constantly bad mouthed the WWE (like most wrestlers do) for making him look like an idiot when he was Skip of the Bodydonnas. Chris Candido is in a better place and like Owen Hart an uncrowned champion wholl never be forgotten. 🙁

I'm finding myself more and more thankful I did not follow my heart back in '86 when I got outta the Marines...If I'd have actually become a pro wrestler (which is doubtful, since I'm only slighty larger than Rey Mysterio, but at the time much more heavily muscled) I could very well be dead today. I'll miss Mr. Candido and his antics. These guys gotta stop and take a look at wwhat the sport they love is doing to them.

Rxx

I liked that dude. To many wreslters are dying young!

This wasn't drug related; he had complications from an ankle surgery on April 25th...

RIP man... never watched TNA much but knew about Amazon Red,Aj Styles etc
