Any college basketball fans out there? Syracuse fan here. Would love to talk with other college hoop fans. Season kicks off tonight.

I am a Pitt fan, looking forward to a bounce back season for the Panters this year, have looked alot better this year so far, have to wait till regualr season starts.

I might get a bit of heat for this(and I'm used to it) but I am a huge Duke fan. I've been following that team since 2000 and I have the highest respect for Coach K

I won't hate on you for being a Duke fan. Hate the success of the program but Cuse is getting more consistent. Just no Kentucky fans LOL. I was real happy to see Duke beat Kentucky. Coach K is a class act.

Die hard Florida State Seminoles fan here. I know, I know, they're not on the same level as Duke, Pitt, UK, or Syracuse, but the college football group was getting boring lol. Dream season last year winning the ACC and going 5-1 against teams from NC. Too bad we went two and barbeque in the Tourny. We're as talented as we are young this year. Only one senior this year, but he's a damn good one, Michael Snaer (sorry Angel_2, i know you prolly hate that guy!). And apart from being young, good Lord Almighty are we big! We rotate three centers over 7', two power forwards at 6'10", three wing players at 6'4" or better, and a freshman point gaurd at 6'7". FSU assistant Stan Jones hit the nail on the head when he said "Games will make this team dangerous." Look for the Noles to be extremely stingy on defense again this year (Coach Leonard Hamilton has hung his hat on playing extremely tight, pressure ma-to-man defense his whole career) and inconsistent on offense. Might not even sniff 70 one game and the next, hang 95 on someone. But I can't wait! And Angel_2, despite being long time conference foes, I agree with you whole-heartedly about Coach K. He is one of the the greatest coaches ever, not just in college basketball. What he did with the US national team, getting all those pompous, money-driven NBA stars, to buy into team basketball is nothing short of Wooden-esque. He is humble to a fault, gives credit where credit is due, and above all, knows and respects the game of basketball like no one else today. I can only hope he pulls a John Wooden and goes out on top, in lue of a Bobby Bowden, staying too long and tarnishing his legacy. The day he retires will be both a great and terrible day in college basketball! And anderson1129 and bellytickling, look forward to seeing y'all in the ACC next year! Losing perinnial contender Maryland hurts, but the addition of y'alls teams (Syracuse and Pitt, respectively) plus Notre Dame and Louisville in a few years, will make for one heck of a basketball conference! Should be fun!

Yea SouthernGent we will see you next year. Too bad that the rest of the Big East has crumbled with the bball only schools now leaving. I am glad Cuse is going to the ACC. I feel it is the best fit for them.

How does the rest of the ACC look this year? Florida looks good out of the SEC too. Not trying to be a smartass here either just asking lol. I have seen them in the top 10.

ACC is, oddly enough, having a down year in basketball. Duke is rock solid as usual but past them, its a weak year in terms of ACC standards. UNC is very young and has lost a few games already... And wow, Florida is good. I was at the UF-FSU game about a month ago and they pasted us! They look like a team that could easily make an Elite 8 run

Don't forget the Crimson and Blue...KU made a great, excellent run in the tournament last year for what they had to work with, but was no match for UK in the title game. Bill Self is one of the great coaches in the sport today.

I'm a Butler and a Purdue grad. You can't live in Indiana without loving college basketball 🙂

I agree this year the ACC is having a down year. Sure you have your power houses like Duke, Pitt, UNC(even tho its a down year) but overall its weak.

GO BLUE!

Michigan is 15-0 and ranked #2. It will be interesting to see where they end up as the schedule gets more difficult coming up. More than half of their remaining games are against ranked teams.

Cuse gets a good w/ against #1 Louisville. I have to say I was even impressed. Played w/ out 2nd leading scorer on the road. Still worried about the rest of the season. To be completely honest I believe we are slightly overrated. Hope they prove me wrong.

I owe Cuse a big thank you for knocking off Louisville allowing Duke to once again be a top at #1

I am a huge Alabama fan when it comes to all sports.

The Tide just beat Kentucky last night...it was great!

Go Green! Michigan State fan here! Also a Big Ten fan. Usually the conference has 1 or 2 solid teams, but this year I think it's the best conference in the country. Izzo is a great coach as long as you can take his personality, lol. I like that he takes players that will be there for at least 3 years and mostly four.

Michigan is looking strong too, lots of NBA talent on the squad!

Coach Rat got D-conn-ed tonight!

Duke’s blowout loss, 90-63, to Miami was unequivocally the worst effort by a Duke Blue Devils team I have ever seen.

Forget the preposterously bad shooting and historically lopsided margin of defeat, those things can sometimes happen to even the best of teams. But when the game opened with Duke missing some wide-open shots and Miami scoring on nearly every attempt they threw up, the Blue Devils laid down like dogs and quit.

Ryan Kelly’s absence explains the increased reliance on inexperienced players and the decrease in offensive proficiency, but it does not explain the Blue Devils’ utter lack of effort against Miami.

I’d be surprised if coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff let the players practice in jerseys that say “Duke” on them after that thoroughly embarrassing performance. Whatever motivation or punishment he employs, hopefully, it will work because the idea of handing out player grades to anyone on Duke’s roster higher than an "F" is farcical.

But since I, unlike some people, don’t quit in the face of adversity, let’s delve into diagramming the catastrophe.

Meanwhile, the inhabitants of the Phog are just scraping by.

Unreal Beatdown in Miami last night. The U took Duke to the woodshed.

Hey, I'm a Kentucky Wildcat fan here. Have been since the day I was born. Just because their having a bad season doesn't mean anything. They lost six players to the NBA draft. That's more than any other team out there. Especially since the first TWO draft picks were UK Wildcats.
