Happy Valentine's Day to all TMF members
My V Day was spent, at of all places, the GI Dr.
My last Colonoscopy was in 2020
Last August , while the Braves were playing the Mets, I had symptoms, and went to the GI Dr.
At that point, he said. "Mitch, no colonoscopy unless it continues, but if it happens one more time, you need a Colonoscopy"
I managed to not have any symptoms, until of all times, this week, the night before I was supposed to receive my blood test results from the Cardiologist.
So, I called the GI Dr, and he could not see me until today
Predictably, I need a Colonoscopy, at this point tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday, 2-24, because the Dr is booked up this week, and he only does them on certain days.
I know that everyone over 50 gets them every five years. The timing just irritated me a bit.
However, it could have been worse. My next Botox shot is on 3-17, and while the Dr offered to let me wait, taking that chance was not worth it, not only because the symptoms could get worse, but also because I need a week after the Botox shot for the pain to go away. Waiting another six weeks seems too risky, so I'm just going to get it over with.
I just have to calm down, and prepare.
Deep sigh! Sometimes health issues appear when one least expects them
