compliments..

i have been reading various posts and comments..and also reading the compliments that are given out...i wonder..as a female, do you prefer a compliment from another female or a male? which would you think is most sincere? nothing wrong with being complimented by males of course..but at times there are ulterior motives behind the compliment..at least my hubby says so..grr...a compliment from another female i do cherish cuz i know they want nothing from me..

and that can work both ways..males do you like getting complimented by other males?

do you see where i'm headed in all this? i'm not putting down at all a compliment i receive from a male..i'm just wondering...

o and btw anytime i give out a compliment it's sincere..either male or female.

from a all american hollywood brother male persceptive it is true that many times when a male says something nice to a female the male gets it in his head that he can make a connection with the female. now as far as a female giving props to a male the hollywood brother does enjoy it but it can lead to the man thinking how nice and better his ticklish life would be with that female if the male is lonly or missing something in his life

I prefer a compliment to be about my point of view, intelligence, or creativity, than than my looks, but I try to be gracious when I do get a compliment no matter what it's for or who it's from.

Talking to a woman out in the real world is tough. They all seem to think (not without justification) that a man who says hi to a woman is or will soon be hitting on them. Talking to them is easier in a low-stress environment, like a volunteer organization.

I hear your point loud and clear, Annie. I do often compliment women (or men) on their ideas and such if it's warranted.
