What's your greatest concert memory? are there any great concerts that stand out in your mind over the years that you have attended?

feel free to share your stories 😉

On my 17th birthday I went to my very first concert. What was it? White Zombie and the Ramones! I clung to my brother's friends in terror the whole time. I was on the floor and thought for sure the mosh pit was going to eat me alive.

my fav was the moody blues in a small atlantic city venue, right near the stage.

other greats were all the YES concerts.

But I did see Fleetwood Mac last summer and seeing a legend is amazing...

Phish at Darien Lake was so much fun it rained the entire time lol then we had to run back to our cars and the girls went back to my place the guys at another location...we changed clothes and met the guys for coffee.

the other one was BNL at HSBC 99/00...new year's eve, great show...doug flutie even went onstage at one point and played drums.

I remember seeing the Beach Boys not too long before Carl Wilson died. He played the entire concert seated on a stool, but the show itself was fantastic.

The Sean Man

Elton John in 1975... back when he was still wearing costumes and those freaky glasses. Paul McCartney and Wings in 1976... I can still see the strobe lights flashing during the song, "Live And Let Die"! I also saw The Eagles last year and I've gotta say that they sounded as good as they do on their albums, and they weren't lip-synching, that's for sure.

I just saw Beatlemania this past Saturday! The guy who played Paul McCartney sounded more like Paul than the real Paul! All of the guys sounded great. If you love The Beatles like I do, you oughta check out this show.

Is that some kind of space-time paradox? How can someone sound more like Paul than Paul? 🙂

My best concert was Rush in Philadelphia, those guys are gods. I fear the city but I braved it in honor of them; the show was worth it. The day they retire is the day the music dies.

I'm not a huge concert goer. But, when it's someone I REALLY want to see in person, I'll go. Over the years, I've seen a variety of groups. But, the best by far was last year's YES concert at Mohican Sun Arena here in CT. (If you've never been there for a concert, and have the opportunity, go. The accoustics are fantastic in there.) They were totally ON that night and having a grand time...which led to the crowd doing the same.

We were lucky enough to be in front on the side. So, when John Anderson came through the crowd, we got a good look at the man behind that wonderful voice. And Ray (Venray) actually reached out and touched him. It was a great night. And, we get to watch it as often as we like. Drew found a DVD of that concert at a record show a few weeks later.
