47-year old Jamie Moyer threw a two-hit shutout Friday night in a 7-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park. He became the oldest pitcher in big league history to throw a shutout. Phil Niekro threw one in 1985, at age 46 years, 188 days. Moyer is almost a full year older (47-170).
Not too shabby for an "old man". Congrats to Jamie!
