could this strategy work in "outing" yourself?

it could work as well could backfire if they arent interested they could just up and leave

Ehh...

"Hey! Look! A tickling video ... where did that come from? Might as well put it in and give it a watch, eh honey? No? You're crazy!"

Watching the video...

"Ha ha ha! Doesn't that look like fun? You wanna try... hey, where you go? ... Hello?"

But perhaps if you tied the person down before-hand, so would watch the whole movie, and still be there when you ask to try it out... then you'll be all set to try it out! It's all about planning.

The way I would look at it, it's not a matter of what the other person thinks of tickling per se, but rather, of what kind of relationship you have with that other person. The person who thinks it's weird in the abstract may respect it more when you're explaining it from your own point of view. But not everybody will be cool with it, and you're best feeling it out by gauging how receptive the other person is to other things that you talk about personally.

WIP's on with this...
I personally do not recommend this method. What you're selling to this person is YOU, not the interest. You'll do much better by selling you and your personality, along with its individual aspects (don't even think of them as 'quirks', either, because 'quirks' has a negative connotation). If you sell the interests, the chances are good to excellent that this person will become scarcer than snow in Port au Prince.

Hmmm...

Here's my experience. The girl Sarah on Joe Millionaire had been in a tickling video which was made public which she was on the show. My boyfriend knew about it, and we had debates if it was a "normal" bondage video or a tickling one (I of course knew it was a tickling one, but only argued that it was simply a bondage one to try to get his opinion of the video out). When I didn't get much of a reaction regarding the video, I asked him what he though the strangest fetish was. When he wouldn't give me a direct answer about that either, I named a few, throwing tickling in with some of the more mainstream ones (granted, it wasnt until I became a regular member here that I even heard about some other....more unusual....fetishes 😉 ) He of course, replied tickling, just saying that he didn't "get it" and stuff. About a month later, I came clean to him about it. Now he finds it as a turn on...

The moral of my story? (Lol) Basicially, he became interested in it once he knew i was into it. Does that maybe help a little?

Well, i would not try it to show her a tickling video. It could be too effective. I think it's better to make it clear more careful.
