"Couple" things that you hate to do

For those in or previously in relationships/partnerships, past and present, what-have-you, what are some activities that would traditionally be considered a "couple" activity that you hate, for whatever reason?

For me, the first thing that comes to mind is that I HATE showering together. One person stands under the water while the other person freezes, uncomfortably waiting their turn. I don't even really see the sexual appeal behind it, due to a typical lack of space and the danger of slipping and busting your ass.
 
LOL!! Yup, that's what my fiance' says too. It doesn't help that I like my showers super hot, and he doesn't..

Agreed. Sexiness in the shower is mildly over-rated. -- Especially when there is no sexy time about to happen. 😛 I stopped doing that early on in my previous relationship. Another "couple" thing, I guess it could be called that I hate(d) is cuddling or sleeping whilst wrapped around my partner. I just can't do it. I can do it until it's time for me to sleep, but once that time hits I want NOTHING touching me. LOL

I can't have my arm wrapped around my wife in bed for long, because I end up getting a stiff neck, cramped arm, or some other irritating discomfort. Fortunately, she doesn't wanna be touched while sleeping, either! 😀

Gah! I could barely do that when my son was an infant, let alone with another grown adult. I never understood that. Or liked it. *shudder*

We are so made for each other.

Doing the food shopping together always bothers me. Usually because she'll critisize a) my love of meat if she's a vegetarian, b) my love of exotic cheese if she's a vegan, or c) my love of sainsbury's basic's Mushrooms if she's neither.

shopping, because when you go shopping as a couple, whats REALLY going on is that the woman is shopping, and the man is driving, walking round giving an ignored opinion on various garments and carrying bags of stuff.
 
I, too, can't sleep entwined with somebody else. When it's time to actually fall asleep, I need to roll over and enjoy my own space.

I hate holding hands. It makes walking awkward, you can never decide who gets to have their hand facing the comfortable direction, and hands get all sweaty. Fuck you, hand holding. Just fuck right off.
 
I agree with the shower thing. It looks much hotter in the movies than it turns out to be in r/l.
 
HOUSEHOLD REPAIRS! Okay, so maybe not so much a "couple thing" as a married thing but still... seriously, move the fuck over, I can fix it better 😉
 
I love the showers, but like the tub times even more. It gets interesting since I'm a big gal, but when it happens, we make it happen if that makes sense.

I like shopping, but not for clothing but for food and other necessities. I've had some of the most erotic times during shopping at wal-mart or kmart. I know, I aim low sometimes..........:cheesy:

Sleeping together is the most un-sexy thing ever! I have separate blankets; once we're done doing the "do", we have separate blankets because I'm tired of having the blanket snatched off me in the middle of the night!! Drives me nuts!:illogical

LOL Does it count if I just like doing that kind of stuff and he doesn't?

The whole cuddle/sleep thing, too. Gotta have my space or I just don't sleep...and end up elbowing and kicking whomever is next to me. I learned the hard way when I was a teen and shared a bed with my mom while on a family vacation....for the first night only. She got an elbow in the face and woke up with a shiner.
 
I'm saddened and downtrodden by all of the people who hate bedtime snuggles 🙁 It is almost impossible for me to fall asleep without something wrapped up in my arms, whether it's another person, a pillow, or my lovely Monkey.

What do I hate? Obligatory family get togethers :xlime: Mine or his - it sucks. I don't mind casual ones like sitting on his parents' porch chatting with his mom, or watching TV with his dad, but holidays and parties and things that you only go to because you "should" *barf*

I've been accused of being wrong or basically unfair because I split the blankets up. I can't help it because I really like being warm during the night. If you're not offering up your body and you steel the blankets, we have issues if you know what I mean!!!
