Now before you start buying Eagles Super Bowl tickets, remember one thing: the Eagles are nothing but chokers who will only get to the NFC title game and blow it, like they did the past 2 years. and the funny thing about it is both times the game was in Philly!!!

this year's birds are a more cohesive, solid, all-around team than in previous years. i don't expect that they will choke in the playoffs. i believe they are the cream of the NFC.

i'm predicting a victory over the patriots in the bowl.

Natural Tickler, Where Are You From?

First off I was just glad to see the Eagles WIN! I never said anything about the Superbowl!(NOT YET ANYWAY). I'm a Huge EAGLES fan, so nobody knows better than me, how they have let there fans down, the last 2 years. Natural Tickler, I would like to know where are you from, you can't be from Dallas because people from Dallas, who are Cowboy fans don't even think the Eagles/Cowboys are a rivalry. The Redskins are the big rivalry. So you got to be from the Philadelphia area & for what ever reason you cheer the Cowboys without knowing your NFL history. Go to NFL.com & you will see that the NFL didn't start in 1960 the Cowboys First season. The Eagles Won the NFL Championship in 1948, 1949, 1960. If you are from Dallas you would never bring past history(THE 5 RINGS), you see the Cowboys have had more bad seasons then good, so true Cowboy fans don't cling to the 5 rings. Only a false Cowboy Fan!

first of all, I'm from Chicago, raised a Cowboy fan. Second, tommmytkl made it a point that the Eagles have been deep in the playoffs for four years now. Good for them. I was just bringing up the fact that the Cowboys had more playoff success than the eagles did. Thirdly, we don't even consider the Redskins a rivalry, either, since they haven't beaten Dallas in God knows how long. My only point is that you can be happy about a win, but don't get too excited until you done it when it counts. Besides, McNabb is from Chicago, and I definitely want him to do well. This should clear it up. If not, then oh well, see ya in the playoffs😀


ps. I know plenty about the Cowboys history, having to deal with the Steelers in the 70's and the pitiful 80's, I know plenty, sir😀

I'm ok with whoever you like, some people like Chocolate & some people like Vanilla. I was just upset with Philadelphia Area Cowboy fans. They like to bring up the 5 Superbowls without even knowing NFL history. Tommytkl is right about 1 thing, the playoffs may have to go through Philadelphia. & since you like to quote Wrestlers heres a quote for you. "the playoffs go through Philly" "and that's the bottom line because a PLILADELPHIA EAGLE fan said so".

If you by chance are a wrestling fan? When the football season is over, maybe we can talk about wrestling. It is always cool to talk about wrestling with other people who are fans. Even if we don't agree on the same football team.

Hey LBFT, Looks like you are the one who should check up on the Cowboys history. They had far more winning seasons than losing.
27-14 plus two even seasons. They set an NFL record by having 20 consecutive winning seasons compared only to the Yankees and the Canadians in sports, a record of post season appearances and the only team to appear in 2 championship games for every decade of
existence, held the record for most players going to the pro-bowl and the only team to win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years. Hey they can't help it if they didn't come into the league before 1960 of course if they did, they would have set more wins and records, ha! Now, compare those stats to the Eagles history!! 😛
I'm not expecting too much from them this season, except maybe being the spoilers but seeing as they are such a young team, I'm hoping Big Bill will stick around to seeing them to a Super Bowl soon.

Win or Lose, Always a Cowboys fan! 😀

maybe the eagles will go all the way this year and maybe not, but if they don't at least we put the cowboys in there place! I am a eagles fan. at the begining i had nothing against dallas outside of every player getting arrested for rape and drugs and other illegal procedures. However why is it that the cowboy fans on the east coast make so much noise? I always want the eagles to win but i want them to kill cowboys so i do not have ot hear cowboy fans calling the radio stations and putting good natured eagle fans down.

It seems to me that cowboy fans are a lot like cockaroaches. i heard that from a very smart individual who is very knowledgeable n sports. I myself have come across so many cowboy fans that make philly fans looktame. the bottom line is dallas was playing good but there season is over.

if dallas smart, they get owens to bolster there receiveing core, get either smith or staley for the run game, get kirkland for defense, and get either garcia or warner for qb. all of the guys i listed will be free agents at end of season and are good players. i hope the eagles get some good players as well if they want to dominate the way buffalo dominated the afc for some years.

Since when do you have to live in the same state as your favorite team? Think of all the sports teams that up and left their home
state. The Raiders fans would be screwed up as hell. Do you also have to live your whole life in the state or country you were born in? How sad. I can see why Phlidelphia fans are known to be in "the city of brotherly hate" I respect a fan who loves his team, no matter the team or where he lives.

Take a poll and see how many fans back up other states teams.

McNabb was right. The Dallas Cowboys are not that good (compared to past Dallas teams, this one's purely Pop Warner level), and the championship will definitely go through Philadelphia. As usual, the braying and bleating of Dallas fans bears a strong resemblance to what exits your digestive track after you've eaten a can or two of baked beans. It smells the same, too.

Yeah, Dallas had a good year this year, and some tweaking and adding a couple players will bring them back to glory soon. Look, I never said they were going to win the Super Bowl, just be better than they were last year. All you Eagles fans who are so giddy remember this fact: the last 2 times they had homefield, they lost. McNabb must have forgotten how much he's choked, when it counts the most. The road doesn't go thru Philly. It goes thru St.Louis. Philly is only known for its rude behavior and booing Santa Claus. A championship from any sport in Philly is nowhere to be found anytime soon. now i know it been years since philly won anything but philly is ready to go back on the map. We going to win it all in Arena football thanks to ESPN great Ron. The phillies are going to dominate with the addition of WAGNER and if Bell is healthy. The phantoms will beat all comers to win again. The flyers are doing grand and if the charge still played in Philly, they be winning like they did every year as well. I bet if philly still had the Stars football team, that they be winners to brother.

So if you want to say philly chokes then you can take the cowboys arrest sheet, shine it up real glossy, turn that son of a bitch sideways and stick it striaght up your cowboy star!

One last thing, if you from Chi- town why aren't you rooting for Buddy and Mike to coach again and bring a team to the super bowl. I hear former Eagles great Jim Mcmahon is still in drinking shape to throw a ball down the field.

Ah Hollywood, I was waiting for someone to bring the Cubs up. Yeah, they choked, but unlike the Phillies, we have the dominant starting pitching to be World Series participants for years. As far as the Bears go, I stopped being a Bears fan in 1987 for two reasons: the way they blew it in 86, with the same team they had the previous year: their Super Bowl year, and lost to the Giants, who weren't nearly as talented. You talk about Maddux leaving, well, if memory serves correct, you let Cunnningham run away too. And at least the Bears have something Philly still dont have: A Super Bowl win. The Flyers? well, wait til they face the Devils, ends the flyers run. So the Phillies got Wagner. so what? you got to get the ball to him. Don't think your starters can do it. Three runniing backs for the birds? Damn, can't you find one?? Let's wait til the end of 2004 and count the playoff appearances or championships then open your mouth.

Speaking of Cunningham...if he hadn't gone down in 93 and 94 the Eagles would have won the SB those years, no dought, but hey that's the Philly curse for you, but you know what, as much as it hurt me that McNabb AND Ried chocked last year, I root for them just as much this year and when they were 0-2.

Oh and by the way, yes we use 3 running backs, but we USE 3 running backs! It works for Philly this year.

There are no Cowboys on the team now with a rap sheet, that was the team of the past. Most teams that made it to the big time have players get into trouble because they think that they won't have to answer to the law, of course noone on Philly ever had to worry about that, seeing as they haven't won anything.
Look at the Falcons and Ravens when they made it. Players today have no idea what trouble is compared to what players got away with back in the 70's. I bet J.Shockey will be the next person getting himself in big trouble. It's no big secret about Miami U. players attitudes
and knack for trouble.

Giantfan, I wouldn't wish too hard for Winslow. As much of a great player I think he could be, I fear that boy is headed for nothing but trouble. What a waste of talent too, especially if he is half as gifted as his father. Big difference between college and pros but I think if he cleans his act, he could be great besides that, do you actually think ANY team could handle having Shockey and Winslow on the same team? Two huge ego trips there wanting one ball.

phfttklr, you got a solid point there. Especially since that outburst about a month ago. The only person that should have been out to get him was his coach, to throw his ass on the bench. I didn't consider the attitude part, but that would be a cause for dissention. On the other hand, it may light a fire under Shocky's ass to get with the program.

The smell IS coming from the Meadowlands, in case you are wondering. right now, the Giants suck. This is coming from a man who followed that team since Yankee Stadium days.

I can attest to the smack. On the field, it's hot. When I played in HS, there was a team from the next town we were playing which has a rivalry similar to the Yanks/Sox. There were 8 ejections (including me) and almost 300 yards in penalties. I also remember that night, there were 20 additional cops out for fear the extracaricular activity was going to carry into the night.
