From what I understand, c4s is PCI compliant per VISA and MC. Also, I have personally made lots of purchases over the years and have never had one issue with any of the cards I've used.
Regarding chargebacks, as a c4s store owner for over 10 years, I can tell you that I haven't seen a drastic increase in the amount of chargebacks on my stores. Chargebacks suck, no question about it. Some months are worse than others. But when you have the kind of traffic that c4s has, there's bound to be somewhat of an uptick in chargebacks overall across all of c4s. That's just the nature of online downloadable adult sales. Relatively speaking, I wouldn't say it's worse than other solutions, especially if those other solutions have the same kind of traffic. But again, I can only speak with certainty when it comes to my own stores, and it definitely hasn't gotten to the point of making me want to jump ship.
