The answer to your question: No, my team hasn't been to the World Series in a while. But of course everyone knows that, so to continuously bring that up, is rather redundant. Next, since I came into this world in '71, I can only talk about the teams since then. Congratulations, your team won two titles....congrats again, you saw four World Series.
You see, just because my team hasn't made it, doesn't make them failures. If you look at our franchise as a whole, we have a winning record...just haven't won a title since 1908. And because my team hasn't won since 1908, doesn't make me or any other Cubs fan less of a fan, or our team as losers. It just didn't happen. I am not gonna stop watching baseball just because my team hasn't won
But since you are labeling, then since your team hasn't won in 22 years, then I guess yours is a failure too then huh? Now you see how silly you sound? A little taste of honey is worse than none at all, and unlike you, I don't have to go way back to talk about another team's "failures". I can see yours right here. Soon to be two years of collapses, that is worse than mines not making it in a century. You see, I have no problem saying my team hasn't won in that timespan, because history can be changed
But then again, your obvious intent was to annoy...which you have failed to do. You will NEVER get silence out of me...you're not good enough
The next problem you have is that you are lumping me into some of the excuses that people have used, and insinuating that I am using these excuses. That is an insult. I have never used those excuses. we have talked baseball on the phone countless times, and I have never once used that excuse. I don't believe in curses, goats, cats, and all that other mess. Yes, I live in Chicago, but don't share the sentiment that others have used. If my team lost, they lost. i don't look for excuses, I look for ways for them to get better
And however long my lifetime is, and I hope to God its a long time, I will see some Cubs championships, and it will start this year
I hope to God the Mets make the playoffs, so when we send them home, it will put an even bigger smile to my face
For someone who is happy for Cubs fans, you have a funny way of showing it
and now back to regular programming
