Curious about what professions all our ticklers/lees come from?

I was just curious about the types of professions our ticklers or ticklees come from.... is there any kind of link between what we choose to do in life and our interest in tickling?


Me...I am a Techie but I really started out in the Hospitality Industry and Culinary Arts (which is what my degree is in). Now I do technical support and I love working with people always have.

I'm primarily a mom and secondarily I do computer graphics for one large client plus some small freelance jobs. I would not call myself in any way a "homemaker" since I would never be without a cleaning person 🙂 Very interesting and diverse group here.

I'm a police officer. Well actually I'm an MOD police officer (as opposed to being in a country constabulary for the Home Office) which means my duties are the same as a glorified security guard.

I'm a marketing manager, but i'm currently in school studying for my master's in journalism. I've had quite a few odd jobs over the years though...bartender, waitress, costumed princess for the local amusement park...all fun stuff Lol!

Work??? What's that?

Actually, my training and most of my experience is in home health care. I've been doing that in one form or another since I was 9yo...though with more important and informed duties after I grew up. I've also had my own housekeeping service. In between, I've done cooking for shut-ins, helped people move, mowed lawns, built cabinets, etc. I guess you'd call me a jack (or maybe jill) of all trades.

At the present time, my health isn't cooperating enough to work outside the home. So, I'm developing my own business online by collecting pics from all over the web on various themes and burning them to disks which will be marketted on ebay and a web site I'm putting together. Once those are completed and up, I hope to get back to some writing (possibly even another book).

Drew's work is in food service....kinda. His dad owns a few fast food stores. Drew and his bro-in-law are constantly going store to store to keep everything running...grills, toasters, refrigeration units, ACs, plumbing, etc. So, I guess he's a cross between upper level maintenence and a technician.

I'm a financial analyst (and not the stock market kind..sorry no stock tips! lol). This is why I need a constant supply of tickling--my job is so boring, I'd go crazy without some fun and laughter in my "off hours". I also design web pages in my spare time.

I'm an astronaut! 🙂 I wish. More like a space cadet. But my paying job is in a group home, I take care of six adults with severe mental retardation/physical disabilities. Two women and four men. they're like my little brothers and sisters, even though all of them are at least ten years older than me...

When I'm not doing that, I like to draw, paint, write, listen to evil rock music, watch movies and think about perverted stuff like tickling. 😉 But I don't ever get paid for those things.

I'm a computer programmer specializing in the Internet and web development. At least, I would be if I wasn't unemployed. I also write video games as a hobby. I've taught briefly, and this September will be making a go at it again as a part-time college professor. Should I not manage to get anything full-time (the teaching is nights only) I'll be returning to school for my Masters, specializing in artificial intelligence and computer graphics research.

And let me just put out a grand ol' w00t to those of you in the armed forces. w00t!

So many different jobs...

I didn't realize there was sooo much diversity in employment, but I suppose I should've known with all the flavors of tickle folk I've met. As for me, I'm a computer tech for a small company in a small town, which means I'll be looking to get some more schooling and earn some actual money soon. But it does come in handy when I want to fix or update my own computer. 😀 I also would entertain offers for becoming a masseur for ladies' feet, legs, back, shoulders, neck, etc., as well as comic book critic, stereo quality inspector, and travelling vellicator. LOL.

Nothing major or deadly. Don't worry. I have FM/CFS (Fibro-myalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Basicly it's just a big pain in the arse. I've had it for quite a while. But, it's gotten worse in the last couple of years. The main thing that keeps me from working a regular job is the fact that I'm constantly getting dizzy spells and sometimes end up falling on my face without warning. That's actually why I haven't gone back into doing home care. Kinda hard to keep a patient on their feet when you aren't even sure you'll stay on your own. Ya know? Can't risk their well-being by hoping that "I" won't fall. Aside from that is just a bunch of constant annoying stuff like muscle and joint pain, lowered immune response and not sleeping. It's actually kinda fun. NOT!
