This is how I feel about now. It was not bad enough that we have gotten more snow in the past 4 weeks than we did the entire Winter season thus far, nor was it bad enough that our temps have been averaging 20 degrees lower than our normal for this time of year for the past 4 weeks, leaving us stuck buried under all this crap snow that has been dumped on us the past month. No, no...that was not NEARLY cruel enough for those sadistic Snow Gods.
From 5am yesterday morning, until 5am this morning, we got somewhere between 12-14 inches of snow. It was a total blizzard for a whole 24 hours, with winds whipping hard enough to knock you off your feet, snow drifts 4-5 feet high in some places, visibility at less than 5 feet, total white outs, freezing cold....
The plows gave up until late this morning. They tried to keep up until mid afternoon yesterday, but realized it was futile and finally parked their trucks till today. The roads were completely invisible, including the curbs and driveways. It took us 1 hour last night to cover a distance of 7 miles. We could not travel more than 10-20 miles an hour, and kept spinning and getting stuck every few blocks. We had to make our own path through the foot deep snow. I feel like I live in Antartica. I am so sick of snow and cold and winter I could cry.
They are predicting more snow for Tuesday and Wednesday. Anyone got a noose?
