My question is what are the customer's right? There are times we may be unhappy with a clip/video that we have bought in the past, & given that fact that all sales are final. What do you think the clip/video company/site should do for you as a customer? Now I understand if it's your first time buying a clip from that company you may need to give them another chance in the future, but if your a loyal customer over the years what are your rights. Should the company make good on your next purchase or month free at the membership site ETC. I would like to hear what everyone else thinks on this subject.

The next thing I like to talk about is when should the customer be heard. If you've been a loyal customer over the years & you stop buying a product because you don't like what the company is doing, do you have the right to speak up on that subject? Again I would like to hear members opinions.

I don't believe we can change the return policy, but we can flame the companies on forums like this! If we start giving reviews, then maybe other customers won't make the same mistakes, and order crappy videos.
 
I think that since most of the TK producers out there are on this site in some way, shape, or form, it's entirely appropriate to send a PM to them and say hey, I really liked this video, or hey, I think you could have done better with that model, or even hey, you know I was really disappointed with Video Number X. Don't EXPECT to get any free stuff though - remember that the name of the game is "buyer beware" - that's why reputable producers always put preview clips on the forum.

Whoa whoa whoa, don't jump to flame companies unless they consistently put out low quality work. Sometimes, mistakes happen, or poor models give bad performances, and the producer tries to make the best of it, but you can only polish a turd so much. Don't flame so easily. 🙂

I argee the customer shouldn't get free stuff, I feel that is the company's choice always. But I'm glad to hear that a clip store like yourself is willing to hear e-mails/private messages on poor product or just customers opinions. I also argee not to bash any clip stores or sites unless the product keeps getting bad or if the customers opinions are just not being heard.

Clip rights

Buying a clip is like going to the movies. You hopefully have seen a preview and made your choice. If you do that at a theater and the movie sucks.....do you expect free popcorn the next time? Of course you can post and try to warn others, and also offer suggestions here as mentioned, I think the producers DO listen, It seems that Joe from LGZ does. but ultimately it is their choice and initial money spent on their product. I would hope that they would be savvy enough business people to try and give the people what they want.
 
In putting together the links section, I looked at literally every tk clips store there is to see what they had to offer. As Viper said, the saying "Let the buyer beware." applies. Some producers have very detailed descriptions for each clip so you know exactly what to expect. Others have very little information. If someone is ordering a clip from one that states what to expect and it's not what they say it is, that's one thing. Then, I believe we have a right to be reimbursed. However, if we're just looking at a pic and hoping for the best, we can't expect a producer to make good on our mistake if we're wrong.

AFA making our desires known, we certainly have a right to voice what we'd like to see. But, I don't believe that we have a right to complain if we don't get it. Producers tend to go with one or both of two things...public demand and their own preferences. If our desires don't match up with what they prefer to do or what others are asking for, then we aren't likely to get it. We also need to keep in mind that some of these folks are doing this simply as a fun way to make a few extra bucks and not as their primary means of income. So, they may not care that much about how much they make, only that they're having fun doing their thing.

I remember back when tickling first began to take off in its online existence. There was very little out there of ANY sort of stuff. What was out there was often difficult to get our hands on. Now, there's a ton of stuff with a great deal of variety. If one store doesn't have what we want, it's entirely possible that another one will. We just need to not be lazy about the search. We've become spoiled and tend to think that they owe it to us. They don't.
 
I think it's appropriate to give feedback to a certain extent, but after a certain point it becomes spam and harassment.

Well, I think that when you give feedback, you've pretty much said your piece. If you continue to repeat your desires after a producer has acknowledged hearing them, then you're on thin ice right away. But I wouldn't call that harassment.

If the pattern continues for weeks, and months (which has happened to me and others I know) then it is harassment, not feedback, and, in my case at least, it really can get annoying and makes me increasingly unlikely to respond.

Exactly! 🙂 I'm sure there are a lot of producers around who make clips the way you like them! And there are always some who offer "custom clips", although they are usually pretty expensive!
 
I think this is a point where capitalism wins out:
Those companies that make well done, quality clips that appeal to almost every request and desire, and who put out enough stuff to satisfy all that, will reap the rewards of satisfied customers and will enjoy good word of mouth and profits that follow.

Some guys do the same shit over and over again, and people get tired of it...and I'll be damned they just keep doing it! Business declines, but they just don't get it. Oh well. Normal companies are like that. To give an example of one of my likes, the major pantyhose companies just...I'll be damned if these guys won't advertise for shit! No magazine, TV, internet ads...and they've been watching their stocks and profits take a nose dive for years, and just won't bother making an effort to improve. Oh well!

You got guys like Tickle Horror, who keep making the same clip, over and over again, and it seems most people have lost interest in them. TickleCentral used to make good clips, but the producer started making crappy clips, refused to give previews, and then went off on everyone here when they politely asked for previews...and now it looks like they're out of business. Oh well. (Of course, you got Tickle Pleasures Tickling who produces nothing, yet keeps advertising his old clips, but that's another story...)

And then you get guys like Tickle Haven and Czech Ticklish Girls and their three accompanying clips stores, who consistently put out clips, high quality clips, feature many variations, and mostly get praise....and must be making more than the other mentioned companies. THAT'S how it works folks!

I wouldn't say flame, but obviously legitimate criticism is always appreciated I always always try to use legitimate critiques when I talk about a video, because these guys produce work and expect a valid review. "It sucks..." is lazy. "The lady wasn't ticklish, the background noise or over-talkative tickler was distracting..." THAT'S what should be said, because it's fair, and it helps them make better product/art.

Speaking of all thise - Viper...I wish you'd make more clips, more frequently. When you get it right, like in the Getting Reaquainted clip, DAMN you get it right! (Of course, the choice of suntan, barely-there pantyhose on Terri was the biggest help in that area!)

Viper Productions is not my main source of income or my primary job. Usually I try to keep it as a self-fueling machine, where the money from video sales goes right back into paying models and upgrading equipment, but lately times have been tough - I was between "vanilla" jobs for a while and was struggling to keep the lights on letalone pay hot women to submit to tickle torture - therefore my production times slackened. I just moved and got rid of a lot of that financial burden, so beginning next week I am hoping to pick up production again and get things rolling back to where they were a year and a half ago or so. Speaking of which, don't forget that Becca is coming back next week.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to make a recommendation. MTP Jeff, I know that there is a "Tickling Product Reviews" section down a ways on the forum - would it be possible to move it up a bit on the forum list to give it better exposure, or maybe going so far as to create a specific "Video Review" forum as a sub-forum to "Video/Audio Clips"? Maybe if that forum were more easily seen it would garner more feedback and encourage producers to meet those requests more often.
