Daphne receives (demands, actually) equal time and while I still favor Velma as a fetish pin-up, it's not an unwelcome power move! Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the malefactor had his mask yanked off and was revealed to be Fred or Shaggy. I know I'd be tempted! I envision them in a Jessica Rabbit fashion: self aware characters, playing themselves in a shared Toontown type universe.
Not unlike the animated movie Ralph, in regards to videogame characters.

This way, they keep some personal agency, and provide some simple banter, maybe a bit less corny than "no, please, don't tickle me, nooo!".
