Darkstalkers tickle and barefoot update!

I've uploaded two pictures to both my yahoo group and to my forum at tickletheater.

The first one features Morrigan Aensland and her sister Lilith Aensland. My idea for this short series of pictures is based around the idea that Morrigan is under a spell and is being forced to do this. It was the only way I could get away with it I think without 'raping' the character of her persona.

Anywho, Lilith is/was asleep as this starts and isn't even aware of whats going on really. The following pictures will get better, and rest assured Lilith will get her revenge (thinking Morrigan is doing this intentionally).

The second picture is of Morrigan resting her feet after dancing at a ball. It was a spur of the moment idea, so its just a sketch.

To clear it up, these two characters are from a video game called Darkstalkers. Its a fighting game, much like others of its type. The game goes by several names as well, including Night Warriors, and Vampire Savior.

Some of the characters of this series have branched out and made appearances in other fighting games as well, like Marvel V.S Capcom, for example.

This game was also an animated series. There was the tv series which was a horrible crime from what I've seen and hear, and there is a really good japanese animation of it also, albeit its a bit short, though more true to the storyline of the series.

Morrigan Aensland (and to a lesser extent, Lilith Aensland) are becoming just as popular or are just as popular as some of the traditional fighting gals of video games. Like Chun-Li Xiang from Street Fighter, for example. Its no surprise then that artists like drawing these characters. Of course Morrigan does wear a pretty revealing leotard that leaves hardly anything to the imagination, and her nipples are barely covered. Obviously this is something which has made her very popular both as a character and a playable fighter in the games.

I doubt anyone will forget her soon. 😉 😀 🙄

If your interested in the games, unfortunately most or all of them are discontinued or no longer made. You might be able to find them though. If you wanted the one with the updated characters then you'll need Darkstalkers 3 (unless there was a 4 and I didn't know it). Your chances of finding this one are probably better then finding the original or the sequel.

Then again you might just find it as a used game being sold at one of the many different video game retail stores nationwide and international.

The anime can be easily found either for rent or purchase, both on VHS and DVD. And since theres not alot to collect, it wouldn't be that expensive.

As far as the art, well, as long as people have a continued interest in the Darkstalker characters I don't imagine they'd be leaving the minds of anime-style artists everywhere soon.

Why would you say that? Are there not many video game outlets where you live? If finding it in a store is a problem (as it probably would be) you could always try to see if you can order it online. Or, if you have a video rental store nearby that rents old PS One games out, you might find the games there.

The games themselves aren't as good as say Street Fighter, in my opinion. But the graphics and animations are very well done. Alot of detail was put into this series even though it never grew to be as popular as Street Fighter. There are elements about it though that make it better than other fighting games of its kind. It definitely is a unique series all of its own. Defintely worth a play if you can find it. 🙂

yeah also there's a lot of anime i haven't heard of. i only seen Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Digimon and Sailor Moon they r the only anime i've saw

Now see thats the problem with telivision syndacates. They only air what they think or what they know is going to sell. Those animes you just listed are designed towards certain audiances, especially young children. The reason this is a bad thing is because people ignorant to how great anime really is take what they see on tv and use it as a basis to judge anime as a whole, declaring it no better than regular cartoons. Anime is vastly different and superior in my opinion. Theres a fiber of quality it has that puts it above regular cartoons.

Those shows are hardly what really good anime is capable of. It is these animes (that you mentioned) and more that are more cartoonish than anime, as any real otaku would know that anime is far deeper, more mature, multi-genred, and aimed towards people of all ages. And heck, the art is just so much more detailed.

Pokemon and Digimon are not good examples of great anime. My whole point is that you are missing out my friend, and BIG TIME! 🙁

Well, if you are fimilar with my work you will have noticed I have a picture of Chun-Li tickling Cammy, and Tifa tickling Aeries. I already have plans for follow-up pictures with the reverse happening as well as other tickling pictures I think the community would enjoy. Stay tuned. ^__^

I just hope I can do the characters justice by drawing them good enough. Most or all of the characters I've drawn I've only drawn a few times. Most or all of them are new to me, though it may not seem that way.

it's cool hey i was in a new video store in town and i find an anime section and i find some videos called Neon Gensis Eva is that a japanese anime? sorry about the spelling

Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the best animes of all time. I myself have the dvd boxset collection as well as the movies.

Some caution though- Evangelion is a really deep series. It delves into the human psychi, the mental, the emotional, and religious symbolism.

The series can get depressing if you really take it in, understand it, and appriciate it. Although, on a more entertainment level some of the episodes can get redundant, so its really at your discretion once you've watched a few episodes.

This series will no doubt confuse you if you were to watch it all the way through. It really is a mind boggler. But I pride myself on the understanding of the happenings, the meanings, the symbolism and just what actually happens.

I think it made perfect sense. But ironically none my friends could understand it until I explained it to them. I don't get what was so hard to understand about it, but I don't mind explaining it. And theres bound to be something I can't answer and that will make me want to go and find the answer.

If you are going to watch this series, make sure to watch the tv series first and then the movies last.

Then again though, this might not matter. Because I doubt the video store has every disc or tape. Unless you actually buy the series I doubt you'll find a complete collection somewhere to rent.

P.S- I started the Aeries/Tifa picture today. I might have it finished tomorrow. ^__^
