Why are teams wasting so much money this year?

The man has a arrogant personal ego the size of ten stadiums and is coming off a serious injury. A good player? Yes, even when injured. But imo nowhere near this kind of money until it's proven he can play team ball and the injury is getting better. Just my thoughts anyway. It's Tampa Bay's money, not mine.
