Anybody watching the big fight on Saturday night? I'm still not sure if I'll be able to see it but I really hope that De La Hoya wins.

I am writing off my entire weekend to watch it. I am in the UK so will have to stay up til about 4.00 in the morning but i am not missing this one.
Like you i hope Mayweather gets his ass handed to him, and hopefully the leeches that are uncle rodger and the rest of camp mayweather can go back to the pond from which they came from.
By the way if your a betting man, get some money on castillio to beat hatton on June 24th, he peaked against Tzu and is suffering due to his beer and kebab binges between fights. I live near Manchester and a friend of mine saw him it out in the bars a bit back looking not unlike Marlon Brando.

I want DeLaHoya to win, but I have to say I'm amazed at Mayweathers speed. I was watching his training last night, and it literally looked like they had fast-forwarded the footage until I focused my attention on the trainer and realized that everyone else was moving at normal speed. He's literally a blur.

i would love to see mosley vs mayweather, but i was talking about all the shit pretty boy has been talking about chuck liddell and mixed martial arts.. dana white (UFC president) has offered to have him fight sean sherk (current UFC 155 lb champ) to show what the superior fighting style is, because mayweather has been talking ALOT of shit about MMA.. and now it appears mayweather is already backing out saying he was just 'hyping' the fight and shit.. how do you hype your fight with de le hoya by ragging on MMA?

i would love to take this mofo down and fucking armbar him in under a minute

the thing he doesnt realize is sean sherk has been boxing for 10+ years and been doing muay thai for 15+ years and been in wrestling his whole life.. mayweather wouldnt last one minute against sherk.. sherk takes him down, and elbows his face into next tuesday

I wouldn't mind seeing it either, but it would be dumb for Mayweather to do it. He isn't trained in MMA so there's no way he'll win. It'll probably be more competitive if it were a boxing match, but Mayweather would still win. I do think that one day we will see an interpromotional/intersport match between boxing and MMA.

in a boxing match, mayweather would destroy sherk, no matter how much training he has had
in an MMA match, sherk would destroy mayweather in under a minute

i just dont get why floyd would take shots at MMA to hype his fight when in reality he would never step into the cage with sherk in an MMA match (or any other top 10 LWs for that matter (155 lb)) every single one of them i would see destroying mayweather within the first round.. he thinks his hands are so fast (which they are) but they dont mean shit when you are on the ground eating elbows to the face or being armbarred

Depends on what rules are being played by, and more importantly, THE FIGHTERS. There are many boxers who know how to wrestle, and many MMAers who know how to box.

Liddel gets his ass handed to him by any pro boxer, I'm afraid. Guy has less muscle than John Mayer.
