Ross seemed very distracted the next day when he went to the office.

"An important friend of Tim, Morris, offered me a huge opportunity last night, to reorganize his marketing campaign any way I think would be best. Likely mostly online, but perhaps in regular stores as well,. The problem is that it's a huge project with a lot of work. Between Tim, the oil and gas, and my promise to Kayley that I was going to slow down and not beat myself up, which strains out marriage, if she finds out about this, she is going to hit the ceiling" Ross said.
"Ross, Kayley loves you more than life itself. From what you've told me, I think she would be furious last time, because she felt you were hiding things from her. If you go home, and are honest with her, she will understand" Vic said.
"I'm not giving up the oil and gas. I have too much invested in time, money, oil and gas, potential commissions other deals with Fritz and Steve, to walk away from that. Tim knows this. I would highly doubt that Tim would fire me because I cant do this thing he asked me to do, as long as I do Tims work. I have to talk to Kayley" Ross figured.
"Then do that first, and see what she says. If she gets upset or pissed off. Try to calm her down, or of not, come to some agreement with Tim and his friend that might not involve so much time" Vic said
Ross smiled. "Thanks, buddy, you are a real friend. If I ever do decide to let someone run things here and step away or only part time, and keep this company, it would definitely be you. I trust you with everything. Look at how you keep things together while I am off playing with Fritz and Steve with our Midwest deals" Ross said.
Ross purposely got home at 630, with flowers for Kayley., "For my queen" Ross said, kissing Kayley./

As Ross went to undress Kayley said. "Out or in?" Meaning dinner.
"Honey, can we please discuss that later. I have to tell you something" Ross said.

The thing is, it sounds like it may be a lot of work, and I'm concerned about taking it, because I don t want to go back to the old workaholic Ross that would come home at all hours, and was fighting with the woman he loves for life all the time. You know that I have been trying my hardest to make my work hours sane for the good of our relationship. the other problem is, the old workaholic Ross was not a partner in an ever expanding empire in OKC where he had to go flying off once or twice a month. I want to try it because it's Tim. Yet, I'm afraid of the downside" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Ross. "That detailed admission alone is the new Ross. The fact that you were honest with me about the situation, and did not hide it from me. Shows that the one hundred percent trust in our relationship is there. As for the work. I'm most concerned about the affect on your health. My true feeling. Ask Tim and his friend if you can do one of two things. Either. A. sign a contract where if it becomes too much, you have the option to resign with no consequences from Tim himself Or, two, you charge a high enough annual fee to this guy Morris, where if it is so much work, you hire a President to work on that account, and you only have final approval on it, and dont do it all yourself like you do with Tim. If those things can be done, then I am okay with it" Kayley said.
Ross smiled and kissed Kayley. "Teacher to the rescue. Without you, I would be insane" Ross said.
"No, Ross, without me, you would be dead, as you would have worked yourself into the grave a long time ago" Kayley said.
"May I suggest AC for the weekend to clear our heads? We can stay until late Sunday night, or maybe you can take an admin day if you are too tired to go in Monday. I might, and I stress might, have to go to OKC to see Fritz and Steve next week, it would be three days and two days max, and only if you are okay with it, and things in the office are quiet. I can let them know that 24 hours before" Ross said.
"That sounds like a good idea. This last week back sounds like the wheels have been turning worse than usual" Kayley said.
The next morning, when Ross got to the office he called Tim. "Tim, can we meet for drinks or an early dinner later. I was thinking about some things last night. I need one hour of your time" Ross said.
"Five pm, S and W, we can eat a light dinner" Tim said.
Ross met Tim at five, and said.
"Tim, I looked at the campaign last night. It is a lot of work. We both know that my first priorities are to you, and the oil and gas. Therefore. I gave it a lot of thought, and was thinking that maybe I ask Morris if he would be willing to pay a retainer type fee so I can hire someone like a President to do or help me with the campaign, so I can keep my eyes focused on my bread and butter which are you, Fritz and Steve. I think this is the only way I can do this, while being fair to everyone, and giving everyone mine and Roschell's top quality of work. Is this okay with you, and do you think it would be okay with Morris? " Ross asked.
Tim smiled. "Teacher has taught you a lesson. i know that must have come right out of the mouth of Kayley, and she came up with a great idea. In fact, I will tell Morris myself that I talked to Ross, and that this is the only way this can be done because of Ross's top commitment to me and your interests in Oklahoma. I have every reason to believe Morris will be fine with it, so it should be all systems go" Tim said, shaking Ross's hand warmly.
Ross was elated. He could not wait to go home to tell Kayley.

"Usual Italian place, let me take a shower, and get dressed" Kayley said, as she threw off her clothes, and ran into a shower.
Ross and Kayley wert to dinner, came home, and made love. Ross felt on top of the world.
When Ross got to the office the next day, he called Mister P. "Fritz, is it okay if I come down there on the first plane Tuesday morning? I have to do something with Kayley on Monday. I'm prepared to stay through Friday if need be to show any potential people the wells. Tim Patrick gave me something with a deadline, that I must finish before I come" Ross said, white lying, which he did not like, but knew he had to, to deal with Tim and Kayley, with all the running to OKC he had done lately.
"Fritz sighed. "I know we take up a lot of your time, and that you have responsibilities to Tim and Kayley too. Okay, but please be here by noon Tuesday, and then we have dibs on you the rest of the week" Fritz said.

Ross worked through the week. On the way to AC Friday night, Ross came up with an idea.
"Honey you know I have to go to OKC this week. Is it okay if when we leave Monday, I send you home in one car, and I take a car to Philly Monday, to get to OKC so I dont have to come all the way back to NY three hours in the car, and then I can just from Philly, and be there early Tuesday to work all day instead of noon, If I do that, I may be able to get out of there and be home Thursday night, and I wont go into the office on Friday then" Ross proposed.
Kaylee smrked. "Mister deal maker himself. Yes, that is all fine. It will be more restful for you too. If Mister P says okay, the fine. " Kayley said.
"It does not affect him, I will just get a car to the hotel from OKC airport, and then be ready earlier Tuesday for him and his investors, instead of waiting for me to get in at noon" Ross said.
Ross and Kayley relaxed that weekend on AC. Ross had to chill before what would be no doubt an action packed show for investors.
This time, Ross was holding his own, while Kayley was getting creamed, losing two hundred here, two hundred there. She was humiliated with how she lectured Ross about playing all those years.
When Kayley and Ross had dinner Saturday night, Kayley was quiet. Ross gently said. "I know its not me because of what we did a couple of hours ago, (Sex) What is up?" Ross asked.
"I feel like a hypocrite for lecturing you about gambling. I am not doing well this weekend, and I am just pissed off " Kayley said.
"Define not doing well" Ross asked.
"Down three thousand" Kayley said.
"Its okay, I've done worse. Do you want to go home tomorrow, and set a limit of getting down no more than five thousand, and if we are home, I can then leave on Monday morning, and be home a day earlier if I can?" Ross said.
"Let;'s see how I do. I may want to get out of here tomorrow night anyway so I can go to work on Monday, and you can get to OKC. I dont want us to mess with work because of gambling. We can always come back another weekend" Kayley said.
On Sunday, in the afternoon, Ross hit a ten thousand dollar jackpot, which put him up about $8500 as he had been down over a thousand.
Kayley came back too, she was down just about a thousand.
"Let;s get the Hell out of here tonight. Call a car, go home at a sane hour, Let me go to work tomorrow, and you pack and bag and go to OKC whenever. Work and our lives are more important than this. Other than of course being with my prince. I'm bored and want to get back to real life" Kayley said.
Ross saluted Kayley. "Yes, Maa'm. "
Ross made a car to get Kayley and he home by ten pm, then called Fritz
"Mister P., Kayley and me are going home tonight. Let me go home, drop off laundry, pack a bag, and I will be there on the first plane by noon Monday, then the rest of the week is us and our business. Does that sound fair? I will be there by noon Monday, and earlier if I can help it,okay?" Ross said.
"Yes, sir, you get on down here so we can make some money, instead of to the nasty old casino where you are losing it" Fritz said.
"Okay, see you tomorrow" Ross said.
That evening, Ross and Kayley rode home from AC.
The next morning, Ross got up, kissed Kayley goodbye, and went to JFK for his 1130 am plane for OKC. With a change in Dallas, it got to OKC at 3pm OKC time. He was met by Fritz and Steve.
"Cassinos, nooooo. Oil and Gas! YESSSSSS! Lets go!" Fritz said, driving orff.
The distraction weekend had not served as a distraction. Ross now had to get back to the business of making money, his specialty.
