Had an unexpected sighting today (triggered a fantasy). A pretty, busty (but bitchy) Jewish girl I used to work with running across the street, no coat, wearing flip flops. I realize she's running out of the nail salon where she's getting a pedicure because her car is getting ticketed. The cop is also female and African American. When the cop refuses to eat the ticket, the girl curses her under her breath, which leads to a short verbal exchange.
I went over and commiserated a little (notwithstanding that we were never very friendly) and commented on her wearing flip flops, even though its' been relatively mild through date, sandals tend to start dissappearing in the Northeast by October. She rolled her eyes and told me she was getting a pedicure.
I thought it was interestign that a girl could be so vain about the appearance of her feet as to continue getting pedicures in the winter (and I realize I'm probably being a little hard on her).
After her verbal exchange with the cop, it reminded me about an old fantasy I have about having a set of stocks on every corner so law enforcement could mete out punishment for minor offenses by means of public foot tickling. Under the circumstances, this girl was getting off easy (and in saying that, I realize how pissed off everyone who's ever paid a f....ng parkign ticket must be at me; rest assured, I've been there too!).
