After Ross had been able to "postpone" Steve's request to deal with Toronto, because Ross was hard at work on Mel's account, Ross became antsy. He packed his briefcase, and went home.

Ross could make one trip for two days, and still work on Mel in a good manner, but not if Ross had to make two trips.
Kayley came home, and called into the Den. "Ross?"
"In here. Just trying to figure out how to solve a potential problem" Ross said.

Ross sighed. "Steve called me. He wants me to go up to Toronto to "Deal with things" there. I have to be here to talk to and meet with Mel. What happens if I find something wrong in Toronto , and Fritz and Steve want me to go to OKC to see them?" Ross said.
"Ross, you are not a machine. I know that you've been having problems in Toronto, but, it will either take time to sort out, or, if you truly dont trust Jim or the other people there, as you seem not to, you might have to make a decision " Kayley said.
"Kale,. if we lose Toronto and what is attached, the whole Tundra Energy section and Division is gone and done. RFS just stays in OKC and Texas. We will "survive" but we will never truly be able to expand in new directions" Ross reasoned.
Kayley sighed. "Ross, how much more do you need to expand other than all the properties you own with Steve and Fritz? You can still do deals and buy companies in Oklahoma and Texas. Something has to give. If you do something up in Canada, we both know that you have to service it. Steve wont come up here all the time from OKC to Canada. Now you have Mel, and undoubtedly what I like to call "His Men" jokingly, ie, other referrals. We both know that it wont stop at or with Mel. Mel will refer people to you, and you will take on his referrals, both to make Mel and his people happy, to give yourself more work to do yourself at RossShell, and to boost your confidence" Kayley said.
Ross sighed. "I'm going to meet with Mel tomorrow, give him what I have, tell him I need two days to do something. I will then call Steve, and tell him that whatever he needs me to do in Canada cannot turn into a long project, and that while I am just as committed to Canada as Steve and Fritz are, I cannot get all turned around in a tizzy about it" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Ross. "Good Plan, now come in with me, take a shower, my treat to Chinatown Flushing, and then after I foot service you, you service me in every other way" Kayley said.

"Ross, here is a list of ten "potential clients. Please just hold it, and we will discuss it. If you can take on, one, within 30 days, that would help both of us" Mel said.
Ross shook Mel's hand. "Mel, you are a gentleman and a true friend. Of course I can take on one. I will call people on this list. I have to run out of town for 24 to 48 hours to deal with something on the energy company I run. When I get back, we will meet again, and discuss who on this list I should call or you would best feel suits that person and or me" Ross said.
"Just fine. As I said, this association is going so well for both of us. I hope that we will be associated for a longg time" Mel said.

"More screwing around. Jim is not only a "slowpoke, but he also might be trying to hold things up for us for his own interests. I dont know if I trust the other people associated with him either" Steve said.
"Okay, I will get on the first plane to Toronto tomorrow" Ross said.
"Ross, I'm so worried, that I'm going to meet you up there, but I m not going to tell anyone else except Mister P and you. I' m just going to "show up" with you, and see what the reaction of the people there is when you and I both show up together" Steve said, infatically.

Ross had enough, bounced out of the office, and headed home.
