I just got back to school and I've decided that it's time I REALLY got into shape. Aside from basic training being 4 months away..I want to show off for the ladies. I just bought creatine which I have found success with in the past. I also bought Hydroxy Cut simply because of the media oversaturation of their ads. Has anyone found any sucess with hydroxy Cut...or any other diet supplements.

p.s. Im using these supplememts in conjunction with a healthy diet, save for the binge drinking fri, sat. And a workout 3-4 days a week.

the hollywood brother knows people who have lost wait with hyrdocut and with stacker 2 but the hollywood brother thinks there is another more simple way to lose weight. The simple formula according to the hollywood brother is to lower intake of calories while increase the amount you burn. Some people do this by shrinking portions, eating less junk, eat more fish and fruit and even puking after meals. all are ways to have less calories and cholestrol enter your body. now according to the hollywood brother, the other part is to keep more active as to burn more and more calories every day.

Personally I'm on the low carb avenue and have lost 60+lbs since I've first started. It's modified from the Atkins as I do have days when I eat carb-rich foods, and I've been able to stay on it longer than I have any other diet.

I would highly recommend if you do choose this diet to also invest in a good multivitamin like Centrum Carb Assist to get the nutrients you lack from doing this diet. Also, mix up your meats and have fish and chicken so you're not packing your colon with red meat 24x7. Salads like from Subway are yummy too! 😉

Wooo go TT!!
I've tried Stacker 2 before as well as Stacker 3 and Ive found that apart from a short lived energy boost it didn't do much. It didallow me to ride (bicycle) for longer stretches of time which is a good thing. But I was using free sample bottles hubby got from work and it's not worth the expense if you're buying it, IMHO.
I've done low carb off and on as well. I have lost over 20 lbs on it which I unfortunately gained back (waahh!). I'm also thinking of trying some sort of suppliment to aid the diet/exercise and am interested to know if anyone has tried Trimspa or...shoot...that other one that starts with a C you see ads for all the time.

congrats to both of you great posters on the weight loss but let the hollywood brother remind you that eating healthier and more exercise is the safest way brother

What Hydroxycut does is it strips bodyfat .......but you gotta work out to do it , it gets you lean and cut ..........the only thing tho is when your on it , drink ALOT of water cause it does dehyrdate you thats the only down side , but if you want more info on hydroxycut go to muscletech's website

if you need to ever talk to me about this kinda stuff like get info or something my IM is badreligion1231 , im more than willing to answer your questions if you got any

oh yeah, stacker 2's are great. i heard the ones with ephederine are better, thought hard to find. i used to smuggle lots of those to a friend in PA, since they don't sell them there (though they are legal)

so they help bythemselves to lose weight or what? i could use some tips to lose some pounds, hehe.

Normie...I have here a bottle of Stacker 2 and Staker 3. Staker 2 has 200 mg of coffiene plus some herbal extracts. Staker 3 has 250 mg of caffiene plus Ephedra plus some herbal extracts.
My bottle of Staker 3 is almost empty but perhaps I will start taking it again and see what happens.

weight lost doesn't mean much. A better judge of fitness is Stamina and strength. no on at Basic is going to be impressed if you lost any amount of weight if they school you on every run. I recommend getting a heart rate monitor and training with that. That way you can make sure your in a proper aerobic zone, and you can stay there for a measured time. Stamina also goes a lot way with the ladies.

low carb diets are quick and good for short term weight lost, but you won't be able to perform aerobicly and Basic will kick your ass. A better plan is to cut excess "simple carbs" (sugar, pop, candy) while continuing to eat the complex carbohydrates found in grains and whatnot. you should also cut excess fat. espessially important isi to cut processed trans fats that are fattening (duh) but add not additional nutritional benefits. stick to fats like omega-3 found in fish and olives. this will keep your cell walls effective and make for better performance.

One word man...garlic. It's the greatest stuff ever for your body (NOW IN PILL FORM!)

garlic, eh? maybe not, if i took that, then vladislav dracula would really hate me, lol.

but i'll try getting back onto those stacker 2's....

:::getting on my Registered Pharmacist soapbox:

HollywoodBrothre, be careful what you take. Ephedra is a stimulant, bacially raw "speed". this can overtax your heart and cause other problems related to stimulant overuse, esp to your kidneys. IT will cause your kidneys to work overtime, due to the increase in blod flow form your heart pummping harder from the ephedra stimulation. Take home message: KEEP YOUR HYDRATION UP. This is the studd that caused the young pitcher for BAltimore ot collapse on field and die during spring treaining 2 years ago.

Creatine: BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS! Some college werstlers seeking ot use it to promote muscle growth strength and reactive energy (all needed for REAL wrestling, not the stuntmen in spandex on cable), died from kidney failure from using the stuff. This happened about 5-6 years ago but is still a possiblility.

Be careful, get info from UNBIASED sources, and don't overdo it. I have seen too many people mess themselves up useing supplements or "all natural" stuff that ended up doing more harm than good.

And if you do use these supplements, stick to the brand name stuff so you have a better chance of actually getting what youare trying to buy. I have heard a lot of 'generic' supplements that did not have what they claimed in them. They are harder to regulate since they are considered 'nutritional' and regulated by the FTC, not 'medicines' that are regulated by the FDA.

FINAL TAKE HOME: (1) watch what you take
(2) get good unbiased (I.e. not the acne faced sales clerk) information
(3) "if one is good, two IS NOT better"

JUst wanting to make sure you can get the results you want and still be able to post.....

::getting off soapbox:::

Walking even or biking it's really cool.
I'm not really into doing sports intensively, but when the occasion comes it's far better than staying home or watching tv......
