Ross, due to his basically awful relationship with his Aunt R, had not seen Aunt R in several years.

Ross's motivations were to try to be a supportive nephew to Aunt R, and , he would later find out, to take over control of Aunt Karen's funeral.

Ross went into the office in the morning, and then met Aunt R in midtown , at an eating place.

At first, when Ross saw Aunt R , Aunt R gave Ross a normal "Hi"

Then, as lunch went on, Ross realized that there was something seriously wrong with Aunt R, and that she was suffering from memory loss, and perhaps, Altzheimers

Ross knew from his now late Aunt Karen, that Aunt R had experienced Covid at least once during the year plus that Ross had last spoken to Aunt R on the phone.

Aunt R was behaving very strange, repeating the same experiences about the same people, over and over again.

Then, on multiple occasions, Aunt R asked Ross. "How are we related again?"

Ross said. "Aunt R, I am your nephew, I am your oldest sister Shelley's son. I am 53 years old, run my own company, and I'm married to a woman named Kayley" Ross said calmly.

Aunt R started to rant. "I spoke to the funeral director at the place where Aunt Karen is. I'm an old woman (Aunt R was 81 years old, and Ross's now late Aunt Karen was 75 at the time of her passing from a heart attack)

Ross calmly said. "Aunt R, please give me all the information. Please give me the name of the place that Aunt Karen is at. I will call the place in the morning,. I will tell the place that Aunt Karen had no children, that I am Aunt Karen's nephew, and I want to take over the arrangements for the funeral" Ross said.

Aunt R, an obstinate person under normal circumstances who believed that she was always right, started challenging Ross. "The guy was talking to me. I'm her sister. I need to deal with it" Aunt R said.

"Aunt R. I'm trying to help you. Please give me the name of the place, and I promise I will deal with it by tomorrow. " Ross said.

Reluctantly, Aunt R gave Ross the information he needed.

Ross finished lunch with Aunt R.

Ross went home to Kayley. "Kale, that was the most exhausting lunch I've ever had. Aunt R was fighting me on everything I was saying. I finally got her to give me the information" Ross said.

Ross called his father, and told his father about how Aunt R had behaved at lunch,. Ross's father got angry, saying. "Ross, protect yourself, you are your own worst enemy. Your Aunt Karen was your Aunt R's sister. It is Aunt R's place to deal with this, not yours" Ross's father said.

Rsss disagreed. "Dad, I am trying to make this as stress free as possible. If I take it over, it will be that way. If not, Aunt R will blow it up into a Tornado" Ross said.

Ross called the funeral director , who was busy. Ross and the funeral director agreed to communicate via email . They also arranged a meeting for three days later in person to deal with the funeral arrangements. The funeral director noted. "Ross, your Aunt R seemed very confused and did not understand what I was saying. Us emailing about this, and me dealing with you, will be easier on everyone" The funeral director said.

Between Aunt Karen's passing, Ross's strong feeling about such, the difficulties with Aunt R, and now Ross having to arrange the funeral, the whole situation had become far more complex than it should have been.

All of this was happening on a Thursday night.

Ross was very stressed, and , before Ross dealt with the funeral director, Ross said.

"Kale, if I can explain what is going on to Fritz and Steve, and such, and they can get together a small show, is it okay if I go to OKC from tomorrow until Sunday. I need to get out of here to clear my head, and before dealing with Aunt Karen's funeral, the funeral director, and any more possible interaction with Aunt R?" Ross said.

"If you go tomorrow afternoon or evening, I can join you after work. We will go, you can do two or three shows, and we will come back on Sunday night. Then, you can deal with the funeral direcfor, and figure out the details for Aunt Karen's funeral" Kayley said.

"Thanks, Babe. Let me call Mister P and see if I can figure this out" Ross said.

Ross dialed Fritz's number.

"Mister P, I have a proposition for you. In addition to the passing of my Aunt Karen, who was like my second mother as I told you, I have endured dealings with my Aunt R which have been emotionally draining, difficulties, with Aunt R giving me the authority to plan the funeral after Aunt R said she can not and could not handle the details, and to boot, my Dad getting annoyed. I am seeing the funeral director supposedly on Monday, maybe Tuesday. In the meantime, would it at all be possible for me to come down there late tomorrow with Miss Kayley, we do two or three shows over the weekend, and then Kayley and I go home Sunday night, and I see the funeral director on Monday. My Dad said something about me being "My own worst enemy." While I could do something like go to the Queens casino or AC with Kayley, I'm certainly not going to sit around working in the apartment all weekend, and I'm not going to spend the whole weekend in the RossShell office with someone like Victor basically babysitting me ,while I find things to keep myself busy while the rest of the office is empty. I think the best option for me is to be engaging with my favorite business partners, doing my favorite business activity, with Miss Kayley being with me, while I am waiting to deal with this very emotionally unpleasant event" Ross said.,

"Most certainly, Ross. Once you and Miss Kayley finish work tomorrow, come on down. We will definitely be able to get at least two shows in on Saturday and Sunday. We will go to our investor list, tell some waiting people that our partner from New York has to come down earlier than planned for this week due to a personal matter that he must deal with in New York, do the shows, and then late Sunday, you and Miss Kayley will go home" Fritz said.

"Thanks, buddy, you are a life saver" Ross said.

About two hours later, Fritz called Ross back, and told Ross that two shows, with a total or 100 to 200 potential investors would be able to be arranged for Saturday and Sunday that weekend. Thus, Ross could be away with Kayley, with Fritz and Steve, and doing Ross's favorite type of work before dealing with the unpleasant situation regarding Aunt Karen's funeral.

On Friday in the early evening, Ross and Kayley took a 6 pm flight to OKC, which landed in OKC at 10 pm OKC time.

They went to the hotel, checked in, went into bed, and rested before the weekend, and then what Ross had to deal with when he got back to New York.

Saturday morning came, Ross and Kayley awakened, showered, and were picked up by Fritz and Steve to go to the fields.

How would the shows go that weekend? Would Ross be able to stay clearly focused on the tasks at hand with showing the fields to potential investors?

All of those things would be seen.

Ross dealt with a very aggravating and trying situation and dealt with it successfully. He can arrange the funeral whereas his senile surviving aunt clearly could not.

I hope the arrangements and the funeral itself go well for you in real life.

Thanks, mils.

My surviving aunt in R/L is definitely getting or has some form of Altzheimers.

She will question who I am, and repeat herself over and over again.

In R/L I am meeting with the guy regarding my now late Aunt's funeral this Monday, luckily right here in Forest Hills. Hopefully the guy and I will be able to work something out.

This weekend should be quiet in R/L until the funeral arranging and such starts up again on Monday.

I hope to write more by bedtime tonight.

Thanks again for the support, my friend
