I am so freaking happy about this. Some of you may have read about this in my response to a post by Isabeau a few weeks back. Basically, I've been living next door to this woman for the past several months... drunk all the time, yelling and screaming at her boyfriend and/or neighbors at all hours of the day and night, waking me up at 2am, yadda-yadda. And now finally, today, a few guys helped her load a few pick-up trucks... AND SHE IS OUT OF MY FREAKING NEIGHBORHOOD! 🙂 I mean, really, I do feel badly for her. She obviously has a serious drinking problem, as well as anger management issues, but my compassion only goes so far. She was even drunk while loading up the trucks today. You could tell the way she was screaming at the guys helping her. It's amazing to think she even has any friends at this point. No more being awoken in the middle of the night by her ranting, and having to call the police to get her to shut it. She is gone, and I could not be any happier. Can you tell? 🙂

Adam I'm happy for you. I can certainly relate to you. My wife and I had a neighbor ( Keith ) who didnt have a drinking problem but did have a problem with his temper and would continously disturb others in our complex until he was finally evicted in 2004

Well hope you didn't get to use to the ranting and raiving to where you can't get to sleep without it...just kidding . People need their serenity . Glad things are back on track .

I'm SOOOOO happy for you Adam, and I can definitely relate to the pains and aggravation of having an obnoxious neighbor. When we first moved into the place we're in now, our neighbor on the right side of us was unbearably horrid. No drinking problem, but SEVERE anger problems, and one of the biggest damn mouths in existance. All day long, from the time she got up till the time she went to bed, she'd stand barefoot on her porch and SCREAM and SWEAR at the 58 kids who were always milling around their house. In any given day I would hear phrases such as "I'M GONNA BEAT YOU!!!!!!!", "WHAT THE F*CKS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!?!", and "SHUT THE F*CK UP AND GET OUT OF MY FACE!!" on average about 30 times each. She NEVER shut up. Every damn day it was the same thing. When they moved out late last summer, Laz and I had a PARTY!!! Our new neighbor is a nice young disabled vet who has a severe paranoia of storms (we've actually witnessed him grabbing his pregnant gf, dog, and truck all under one arm and running down the street at top speed upon hearing a rumble of thunder).

i'm very happy for you, Adam. you can only be so compassionate and patient.. i should know, i sometimes tend to drink a bit too much, and lash out at those i love, and they have always forgiven me.. you will be glad to know, that i have cut that back very much.. next time i might not be as lucky with my friends. i mean my drinking.. i have cut way back on it.. i do not under any circumstances wish to be like my mother at all.

I'm very happy for you! I remember I used to live in an aparment above a woman who constantly fought with her husband and she would slam her doors so hard that it shook my floor. It was so obnoxious to fell my floors shake every time she got pissed off and yelled at her husband. Her children all slammed the doors too. I was so annoyed I wanted to go down there and slap her and tell her to have some respect for her neighbors.

Yeah, I can relate. The neighborhood we used to live in last year, there was a couple up the street from us. I don't know if they were drinkers, but they had the lovely habit of screaming at each other in front of their house (usually the woman on the porch, the guy getting into his car to go somewhere). Such lovely sentiments as, "You're a f@@king dead beat!" "Shut up, you fat f##king bitch!" And the best part, not only did the neighborhood get to enjoy this, but they would do this in from of their four-year old daughter. How I miss that. NOT!

Or when all else fails, you can try this approach to get your message across...

Gotta love it! Great image, mimi! I might have to put that out front for our neighbors across the street.

Congratulations, Adam! It's so great to get rid of a bad neighbor. We had a guy next door years ago who had a pick-up with a magnetic building contractor sign on the side but I'm sure it was a front. He must have been a drug dealer because he was constantly getting deliveries and people would come in a out for short periods of time. He also had a GF that he was really mean to, and who had a baby. One rainy night around 2 am she was pounding on his door screaming, the baby was screaming and you could hear him from inside the house. The naive yuppie landlords couldn't evict him and ended up selling the place just to be rid of the bastard. No problems since (*knocks on desk).
