Disney or Warner Bros.?

Wasn't sure where to post this.I wanted to ask mainly the ticklers (and ticklees) out there which of two cartoon series they liked the best.But I'm basically opening this to anyone.

Being that Tuesday is the release of the 4 DVD Vol.2 of Looney Tunes I'd like to ask which cartoon series you liked as a kid and perhaps still like the best now:

The Warner Bros (Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes)cartoons or the Walt Disney short cartoons* (*The Disney animated movies don't count).

Additionally,How many people also liked the really old Popeye cartoons?

Warner def! I grew up always watching Bugs Bunny & Loony Toons everyday after school..good memories 🙂

Warner Brothers by far! Warner Brothers has comedy, hilarity, and a dark side to it. Bugs Bunny is downright mean at times, and always funny. Mickey mouse is just "Oh! Too much water!" lol Warners all the way!

Warners definately. Warner's has always been cockier, ruder, and cruder. In fact when Bugs Bunny first came out, he was for adults only. Children first were able to see him later on, but he was considred too crude for children. And quite a few of the Warners cartoons were banned as being too rude. Anyone remember Bugs versus Hitler or Bugs versus a Japanese soldier? You have to get them on DVD but they were banned for a long time, and they are still not shown on TV. Also, you have Daffy and all of the others. Even though Bugs gets the most recognition, Daffy is the most beloved out of all. Even in cartoons staring both Bugs and Daffy, Daffy is really the star of the cartoon, and Bugs is actually playing second character. Daffy always gets the most screen time of against any character he is teamed with. Disney was always safe and boring to me. Give me the Looney Tunes attitude any day of the week.

...because they're too different and shouldn't compete. Disney's known for incredible movies like "Fantasia" but lousy shorts like 'Pluto Goes Across the Street." Warner Bros makes *amazing* shorts like "What's Opera Doc?" but can't make an animated movie to save their lives (Quackbusters anyone? 🙄 ) It's like the Beatles and the Stones; one is NOT better than the other but people always compare them, even though they're vastly different and both helped shape who we are 😎 .

"Whatta tar-rar-rar-boom-dee-ay!" Of coarse the old Warner Brothers cartoons. Bugs Bunny is one of the greatest actors of our time.
And the old black and white Popeye cartoons are cool, especially around the time The Jeep showed up.

Without a doubt.....Warner Bros. Grew up watching Looney Tunes and still love em to this day!
Too bad the UNedited versions are not released but they are still all great and by far above and beyond Disney.

Warner Brothers, hands down. Glad to see they're coming out with the second collection of cartoons soon. Just can't get enough of 'em.

And Popeye? The early stuff (black and white)with the good animation, not the later crappy cheap stuff. How can you not like a deformed, swearing sailor who solves every problem by beating the crap out of somebody?

When my buddies and I crack open some beers, what music do we sing? Why, the "Popeye eats the spinach" music, of course🙂
