Or is the way the NFL is set up today with parity being paramount, does any team have a good chance to repeat?

If you are a steelers homie, you need not respond ! haha :slapfight:

im a diehard steelers fan and i think that they have a decent chance but i dont think they get it done. Its too hard to repeat and with the patriots getting brady back and adding all they did in the offseason i think they are the clear favorites. Not to mention the Steelers have not corrected their problems, they lost a corner and havent replaced him and the o-line is still sub par, so they could but unlikely

wow, a honest unbiased opinion from a Steelers fan. HOW REFRESHING. There used to be a couple of steelers fans here that we couldn`t say that about:headbang:

lol i wear the goggles that are fogged by steelers love but i have to be honest, they were great last year but they did barely win the superbowl (on an amazing drive) and they havent corrected problems. With a year of tape teams are going to make those holes look a lot bigger. Not to mention Hines Ward and our defense is getting old and about to be in transition from a 3-4 to a cover 2/4-3 and that isnt an easy transition

While I don't like to project so early before even pre-season, I will say chances are decent. There haven't been too many lineup changes, though I feel the loss of Foote and McFadden will hurt us unless someone else can step up. That O-line still worries me though.

As for maniac's comment, does anyone REALLY pay any attention to his spewing nonsense?

It`s WAYYYYYYY to early for you to start already, if you are even a Pats wanna be fan this year.

Ive decided to get the early start this year. hell, if we went 11-5 without brady last year, id look for a 13-3 season this year. the Patriots juggernaut will roll this year.

I like the way ESPN put it. 20 of 22 starters are returning. That's about as good as it gets.

However, with Brady back in the picture, anything could happen. Another near perfect season is doubtful, but I think the Patriots have all but sealed a spot in the playoffs.

The Steelers are definitely a team to watch, and I think they'll get the division title. Making it all the way to the Superbowl and winning is another matter.

To be honest, the National Conference is the one that interests me more, since the Cardinals definitely mixed things up some this year. I never thought I'd see them in the Superbowl.

The season hasn't come close to starting yet. Theoretically, Detroit could go all the way this year. That being said, yes, Pittsburgh could repeat.

I would so want to see that happen for the Lions, but realisitically, not a chance.

In all honesty, the parity that reigns in the NFL makes it damn near impossible to predict from year to year. Plus with the injuries, the breakouts and breakdowns, it just makes prediciting things near impossible.

I will go out on a limb with one prediction, Cowboys will finish last in the NFC East. Romo has yet to show me that he is an elite QB in the NFL and I think the loss of TO is going to severely hurt him this season. Not only that I think the loss of a couple players on Defense is also going to really hurt them and I don't see them winning double digit games this year. My Redskins are coming into their second year under Zorn, and they didn't win 6 of their first 8 last year by accident, there was something that they did right and I think they will capture that more than they did last year, but that being said, the East is beast once again. The Eagles look very dangerous this season and the Giants are always tough, but I still don't trust Eli for them.
