I haven't really seen this in the discussion, but then again, I've been here since like September and I'm too lazy to do a thread search. Now, I'm hoping this is a topic that can't possibly offend anybody, but then again, there's always some way, right? Anyway, I don't mean to sound like a total nutjob, but I don't think we're alone. It's kind of a huge universe....anyway, I bring this up because yesterday, I was watching the sci-fi channel.....during the day, they take a show and play it for like 8 hours. Most of the time it's garbage, but yesterday it was this show called "In Search Of...". It's one of those paranormal kind of shows, where they talk about ghosts/occults/those retards who wish they were vampires/aliens, etc... So one of the episodes touched on a few things at once: ancient man, their technology, and aliens. Apparently, there's some evidence of a 2000 year old battery, used for primitive electro-plating. Also, people thought that ancient pyramids were lit with torches. However, in alot of these egyptian pyramids, there's no scorch marks from the torches. So, if they didn't use torches and mirrors to reflect light, what did they use? One of the pictures I saw depicted what looks like a lightbulb. It was a 'clear tube' with a snake inside of it (snake is the egyptian symbol for energy). It looked alot like a light bulb. Another picture had a 'god' sitting in some type of chariot, and in the back of it, it looked like it had some kind of thruster on the back, blasting out fire. One of the theories that they explained was that aliens gave us ancient technology. Another theory is that we're all partially alien. This dude Lloyd Pye has a theory that the ancient gods that the sumerians used to worship (called the ANNUNAKI, I think) were aliens from another planet, looking to harvest gold so they could repair their atmosphere somehow. So they needed the natives to help harvest as slaves, so, they took the primitive humanoids and blended them with their own genes, making them look more like we do now. SO, any believers out there?

Aliens, naw. As Jeff Foxworthy says: It seems like aliens have a thing for rednecks." Trust me, as much of a redneck as I am, they would have found me by now.

Glad to see some untelligent input. Oops, did I misspell that? Wait, nope. 🙂

Well, universe IS a very big place, but I don't believe we were, or are, in contact with them.

If you look at it from a scientific basis, we are 'lucky' that life exists on this planet! The exact tilt of the earth needed for maximizing sun to craop areas, the perfect distance from the sun to prevent being toast (literally) or popsicles, not no mention the actual existance of water. Almost looks as if planned that way, as some of us scientifically belief it was. I highly doubt other life exists. Nice to theorize, but in reality the odds are way too high.

o by far we are not the most intelligent race , far from it , if anything the human race is the dumbest ......but i do believe there is intelligent life out there , i just think they have better things to do than fly around in tin cans

the hollywood brother is sure there are aliens. it would be too arrogant of the hollywood brother to believe that us hollywood brother humaniods are the onlythings out there.

now on a side note about aliens the hollywood brother recently took a trip to vegas and was positive he saw some illegal aliens!

Yeah, we're not exactly a "perfect" distance from the sun, seeing as how there are places cold all year and hot all year. We are fortunate, but it just happens that way. If somewhere out in the universe a star has a bunch of planets rotating it, there's bound to be atleast one planet that can sustain life. There's evidence that Mars had life. Just not a whole lot...

YES. There are a great many intelligent life forms on other planets. As HWB, said it would be arogant to think that we are are the only ones. I and my brother once witnessed a UFO one thanksgiving night while out in the country at my dad's place. It was extremely unusual and the technologie that drove that ship/craft was not of this earth unless the governments of the world have stumbled upon something very advanced. If this thread turns out to last long and recieve a lot of attention, I may tell the eerie tale of that weird Thanksgiving night.

I just know i will get a response but anyway. The way i see it there is no real scientific reason for why this planet contains and sustains life, i feel that a divine force gave us life. Therefore i feel that the notion of intelligent alien life is nothing more then a laughing matter.

Yeah, I could but, I really want to see this thread grow and since everyone pretty much thinks I'm full of shit anyway, it would be a waste of typing at this point in time. BTW, the pic I told you about is in the tickling art forum under the thread "Found some more of my old art".

Maybe divine forces gave life to other planets and races as well.
We couldn't deny it on religious grounds, since aliens could be similiar to us, just more technically advanced.

No scientific reason? Then we should all be dead because the planet's totally unfit for us, considering God isn't really around protecting us 'anymore'. Lol. If divine forces put us here, Then divine forces would have repaired our ozone layer, no? I know if I were a superbeing, and the life I created was dying because they ripped a hole in their ozone layer, I'd repair it, and make sure they didn't do that kind of crap again. Of course you think alien life is a laughing matter. You're arrogant. I've seen the way you post, especially torward me without any real given reason, you're nothing more than a disrespectful twit. It's a bit arrogant to think that in this universe, with it's countless trillions upon trillions of stars, we'd be the only life, and that alien existence is a laughing matter. Let me ask you this, If we're pretty much the center of the universe, why are there other planets? Surely "God" could come up with something better if he's so perfect. He could have made us the only planet rotating the sun, but there's 8 more! They don't really serve a purpose to us, they're just there. Not to mention, years ago we discovered a planet that rotates a sun, about 50-something trillion miles away from us. On a cosmic scale, compared to the entire universe, that's pratically down the road from our backyard. If we're pretty much the only life and the only existence, WHY IS THERE A PLANET 50 TRILLION MILES AWAY? Surely God in his unfathomable perfection would have no reason to put it there, if for any reason at all.

How quaint... he was aware people on a public forum could reply to his comment, and yet he *did* post it all the same.

I believe that considering the billions of solar systems which likely exist in the universe, primitive life forms are probably ubiquitous. I also believe that some form of intelligent life has likely evolved somewhere besides earth, although I don't personally believe in the dramatic, undocumented "alien contact" stories.

The late professor Carl Sagan also believed that life is ubiquitous, but he cautioned that it might exist in forms that we don't recognise as living organisms.

Well, the ozone situation is our own fought which is why God hasn't taken any action on that. It's up to us to take care of the earth because it's our home. It was perfect until we made it what it is today.

As for a true alien abduction see the movie "Fire in the Sky". It's based on a true story and will scare the hell out of you!

Hey! I have a good idea! Let's NOT make this thread into another religous debate. Let's all believe what we want to to believe so long as it keeps us away from each others throats. Besides, I'm not in the mood for it tonight. Everybody cool with that? This is about the question of whether or not there is life on other planets. The source of the life is not in question here. BTW, did you know that if a human being were pulled into a black-hole, they would be stretched out like a string of spaghetti? Pretty cool, huh?

-TK

Sounds tasty.

By the way... maybe the hole in the ozone could be a divine way to erase a mistake... radically. 😉

The hole would be bigger then. lol. But yeah, this is sort of a question of the source of our life. Has anyone ever seen the starchild skull? Go look it up. Be amazed. For all we know, God could be based off another religion's god (which I already know he is, but I didn't finish) which was originally some alien who came here and was the one in charge. To be honest, we're not greatly adapted to the planet as is. We can get skin cancer easier than all hell, not to mention other types of cancer. We're not the biggest creatures on the planet, or the strongest. We could be a crappy hybrid of them and the primitive humans that came before cro-magnons. Now if "God" put us here, then we should rightfully be the biggest and strongest. One who is unfathomable would create beings and know everything about them before creating them, and would have no reason to erase them (like God tried once in the bible). To prove God wrong, according to religion and such, would screw up the universe, or unmake it, right? Well, we're a mistake. Hey, we still exist! Hmm. Anyway, I've seen some weird shit in my life that I can't explain, and I won't call it religious, not even for a second....

Ah, a good topic. Kudos for making it.

As I always say when topics like this come up, I have experienced things involving the supernatural, and aliens are no different.

For those of you unaware of the 5 levels of contact, here they are in order from the least significant to the most significant:

Close Encounters of the First Kind:

The sighting of an Unidentified Flying Object at a distance. (ie- unexplainable lights, shapes, etc.)

Close Encounters of the Second Kind:

Visual or physical evidence of past presense of alien activity. (ie- cropcircles, alien wreckage.)

Close Encounters of the Third Kind:

The physical and visual presense of UFOs and their occupants at a close distance. (ie- witnessing aliens walking about outside their ships gather plant life, specimens, etc.)

Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind:

Alien abduction, physical contact with EBEs (extraterestrial biologicl entity).

Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind:

Direct contact, verbally, mentally, physically and spiritually between human beings and EBEs.

I've personally experienced three of them, but some people are fortunate...or unfortunate enough to experience all of them.

Its my opinion that aliens are not only real but they continually check up on us, especially those they've taken before. and/or have communicated with.

They seem particularly interested in the human female's ova, harvesting, and our biological functions. They tend to follow our bloodlines and check in with all generations of particular blood lines to see what has developed.

The one particular alien that most people around the world, even tribal primitive regions have claimed to see is the typical "grey" alien.

If you've ever watched the show "Dark Skies" you'll know which one I'm talking about. That show, by the way, is based loosely on real events which happened in the 60s and prior.

All in all, if this is just one huge hoax, it is the greatest hoax this world has ever known, because there are people everywhere reporting similar situations, from different cultures, alot of which are out in their respective boonies with no contact with the outside world. It would therefore be very difficult for everyone to be in on it.

Alot of people chalk it up to others being mentally disturbed, while others say they just want attention. I know alot of people who have nothing to gain from the things they've told me.

I have all the proof I need, much like with my God, that aliens are not only REAL, but are more present than we think they are. They've been with us since the beginning, guiding us, helping us, and watching us under close scrutiny to see if we can live up to the great potential they forsaw in us as a race.

God created all things, aliens and dinosaurs, and everything else that wasn't mentioned in the Bible or in any creation story. We tend to put a lid on what is possible and what is not, and we do so based on our limited human knowledge of how the universe works as do the elements which make it up and make it all possible.

Theres so much more we've yet to discover. And when we are a completely space-faring race, we'll discover much, much more. Not only about ourselves, but the universe we live in (which could just be one of countless potential universes).

For some this is just a hoax, but for others its a reality.

Here's another fun fact on black-holes!

When a sun inplodes thus collapsing on it's self it becomes what is known as a "red dwarf". The red dwarf has a gravitational pull that is beyond the mental grasp of many a human and it virtually pulls all forms of matter toward it's self even other planets. Eventually the red dwarf evolves into a black-hole wich gravitaional pull is so terrafyingly strong that not even light can escape it! Wouldn't it be weird to see a beam of light suddenly turn as if making a detour and head straight into the depths of what may very well be the most destructive force in the universe? Yikes!

Yeah, that is very interesting.

Tidbit- The "greys" are reportedly from the Alpha Centauri sector, and have also taken up residence in Orion's Belt. Theres also reports that they also live on the fringes of the Sol sector (which is the secton Earth and all related planets belong to).

The point?- They are damn close to us, so its no wonder of all the reported incidents that the greys are the most commonly reported and encountered.

Fascinating! (no Spock intendid). Vlad do you think maybe some of us are hybrids and not complete humans? Could this maybe explain severely high genius I.Q.s in human beings? I've never felt as though I were of this planet. Is this feeling merely a flight of fancy or as there perhaps something more? I sometimes wonder...
