Today, I browsed through the TMF links section once again, and afterwards through the Clips4Sale site. Suddenly, I was awed by the sheer amount of tickling sites and offers for tickling material! And I asked myself: How did I manage to cope with my tickling fetish before the internet?

When I was a teenager, already aware of my predilection for tickling, all I had was fantasy. Mail order catalogues with photos of bare armpits and feet, that was my main source of "jack-off" material.

Much later, during a trip to NY, I stumbled over a magazine called "Knotty", featuring some tickle pics (rather lame, compared to nowadays' standards). One of the ads mentioned CalStar and Harmony vids, and in fact I found some quarter dollar booth in a sex shop on Times Square with Super8 flicks on tickling. I was so thrilled when I found out that I wasn't all alone with my enthusiasm for tickling! Even though I still considered myself a freak, I finally knew that there were other freaks like me.

I signed up for CalStar's and Harmony's snail mail newsletters, and still quite a while later, I finally could order my first tickling vids, sending US$ cash through the mail, always afraid that the package would get confiscated by customs.

By and by, there came other producers of tickling material. Magic Touch, Realtickling and MTJPub come to my mind. My collection of tickling mags and vids grew steadily. No preview clips, always hoping for the best result without knowing beforehand.

And now? Literally hundreds of producers and tickling websites can be found on the internet, the amount increasing almost daily. And still I see people complaining about not getting the "real" stuff, never satisfied with the overwhelming range of offers. What would they have done in the pre-internet days? Just wondering...

I've had my computer three years this summer, my first..and before the internet, i thought i was alone..i had no idea there were magazines and/or video clips devoted to tickling..so i'm not about to complain that there isn't enough material out there. imagine my surprise when i found out that magazines such as "Tales from the Asylum" and others had been out in the mainstream for years..i hadn't the first idea those even existed until i joined this forum..

Where indeed,Hal!

I have to agree! It was mighty lonely out there, until I rather recently discovered the internet!I was fortunate enough to find a few good suppliers of videos, especially Pam at Solefully Yours! There were a couple of others as well, and one of them turned me on to "Tales from the Asylum".Of course,as good as those were,it`s so nice to be able to come here to the TMF,and share information with such wonderful people who all happen to be tickle fans. For all the trouble and problems the internet can bring,it`s really nice to be here and see that I am not alone!

Great thread,Hal! It does give one pause to think!

The House of Milan magazines (Knotty, Bound to Please, and Hogite) were the first I found to have some tickling articles in the mid-1970's. Before that, there was only the occasional letter in Penthouse magazine.

Me too... when i first shearch for tickling material on the net i was pretty sure that, if by any luck such material would have existed, i would find "mainstream" tickle fight pics or discussion....

The first thing i found was a video... "Ember's first time preview" by magic touch production. I thought that was a bit intense, i couldn't believe they used bondage  ... :bouncybou

Right after i found "Dungeon of happiness preview" from RealTickling production... Needless to say my reaction :dogpile:

Right you are,Milagros! I forgot to mention those myself! Thanks!

i remember it well

yeah, the realism and quality were total garbage back then. basically cheap porn with a " let's exploit these suckers" approach to fetish and tickling. the basic scene was some porn model (under obvious contractual obligation) "tied " with a bit of twine . ( completely phoney) facial expression akin to fear of dismemberment. total scummy shit.
