Me personally, I can't....

I find myself laughing after everytime David Stern opens his mouth and words come out. Knowing what Tim Doughney has put out there, doing the research that Ive done on playoff series and certain games, I just cant believe a word David Stern says.

Maybe Im still bitter about the Finals of 2006, but I just cant really trust anything about the NBA, I'll still watch and enjoy the games, but as far as certain things go, I cant believe anything I see.

Not one bit.

Lakers-Kings (01/02?) was the first straw.

06 Finals was the second.

Sonicsgate was the final straw. Unforgivable.

The NBA is dead to me and most Pac-NW-ers.

Are people serious? People still believe in the "refs cheated for the Lakers in game 6 of the WCF in 2002?" Man, people need to really look at things before they believe that crap.

As much as people harp about the officiating of Game 6 of that series, how come people don't remember game 5? Man, the refs missed some major calls in that game. Mike Bibby stomps on Shaq's foot, and Shaq gets whistled for the foul. His 6th. On Bibby's winning shot, Chris Webber pretty much lead blocks Derek Fisher out of your television screen to give Bibby the wide open look. Um, that's a moving screen. And on Kobe's last shot attempt, his jersey was tucked in. After he attempts the shot, he looks like he's wearing a dress. Bobby Jackson fouled him on that shot. No call. The Kings got away with complete bullshit in that game and won. Laker fans were in a uproar about the officiating of that game, but does anyone talk about that? No.

Besides, Game 6 wasn't the deciding game. Sacramento CHOKED in Game 7 AT THEIR OWN ARENA. They missed a ton of free throws. The couldn't hit shots when they counted. The game still went to OT. Why didn't Sacramento win in their own building. They do that and Game 6 means what? Nothing. They choked. Period. Game 6 has nothing to do with them choking.

The Kings crying about that game 6 is like the Seahawks whining about the SuperBowl they lost. Most of those "bad calls" were actually legit.

As for the 2006 Finals. Dallas choked. Period. They have no excuse. The referees did not cost them that series. Up by double digits in the 4th quarter, and could have gone up 3-0? Nowitzki choking free throws at home. Dallas choked. Officiating had nothing to do with it. Trust me, I wanted Dallas to win..

NBA?

Yawn.

There will always be cheating in sports. its like death and taxes.

True, but it's fairly blatant in the NBA [playoffs].

Not to beat a dead horse, but officiating is abysmal. In 1992-93 the Suns-Sonics game 6 or 7 (I forget which exactly) the Suns had a 3:1 advantage @ the charity stripe (I tried to get the exact number, but am having trouble finding old box scores).

It was at least 2:1 for the Lakers in crucial games vs. the Kings and AT LEAST 2:1 for the Heat vs. the Mavs in 06.

Didn't the Mavs go up 2-0 on Miami and then lose four-straight?

Didn't Bennett Salvatore referee at least two crucial games in that series---games in which the Heat (Wade) went to the line constantly?
