Being a baseball fan and seeing so many of my favorite players of the past be brought down by conviction of steroid use, I just cannot see how this guy isn't using something. I mean whether or not it's steroids, he could be using some hgh or something else that we may not even know about. I mean, the guy is twice the size of most of the other players in the league and hits homeruns in games like he's taking batting practice. He reminds of of Mcguire or Sosa, and I'm pretty sure both of them were on the juice. Mcguire admitted to it and sosa it really goes without saying that he used them.
Every big hitter for the most part has been linked to something like steroids or hgh in the last 5 years or so, and I gotta believe that there's a massive cover up going on here because they figure that disclosing tests of Pujols showing steroids in his system would be detrimental to baseball. They like making him into the "last great slugger", and after Bonds nearly ruined the integrity of the game when he cheated his way to the home run record, they don't wanna risk revealing positive steroid tests for the last big slugger that can still fill the seats with fans that believe he's just an honest, hard working athlete. Jeter's an honest, hardworking athlete too, and he isn't the size of pujols and doesn't hit the ball 500 feet. Vlad Guerrero is a really big guy (naturally big I believe) and he don't hit 40 home-runs a season. In fact, pujols seems to be the only guy that still puts up 40+ each year without any trouble, yet no controversy whatsoever stirs around him. They scrutinized A-rod more and more until they finally outted him, and David Ortiz was finally linked to steroids, and then it was Manny, one of the few guys everyone firmly believe was just a "natural slugger" got linked last season. So then I gotta wonder, how is it that NOBODY seems to wanna link Pujols to the "S" word?? I believe it's cuz Bud Selig can't afford any more massive controversy like that which was surrounding Bonds, then A-Rod, then Manny...not to mention the nightmare before congress 5 years ago.
Now, I could be wrong and he could be legit, I can't prove it. I just know that all of our favorite sluggers in the game have been linked to steroids at some recent point. Griffey thankfully has not, but he also tailed off when an aging player is supposed to start declining in home run power. Not like 41 year old bonds hitting 45 home runs in a season. I have read good points that were brought up in the past including that he came into the league right at the height of the steroid using era, and it's entirely possible that he was taking them all the time, which explains why his size and numbers have stayed the same his whole career. Personally, I'd love nothing more than to find out that this guy is a juicer because I'm so sick and tired of Espn and every other sports network worshipping him as a god.
