Does this bondage equipment exist?

I was thinking about the dangers of a person being tied up. There's always some risk that the person will end up stuck somehow. Stephen King even has a novel about the idea, where a woman accidentally kicks her husband and kills him, leaving her tied alone to the bed.

Is there some sort of restrain that has a sort of release mechanism? Something so that a person can't jerk or pull their way out of, but they can release themselves another way, preferably taking some amount of time to release. I'd think it would be much safer that way.

You can also use cuffs with simple carabiners on the ropes. Or you can buy quick-release clips at hardware stores. They're made to allow you to release a clip while it's still under load.
