being a die hard steelers fan. this weekend i will be a phins fan, seeing as i would rather the steelers play them than the chargers or colts.. the phins wont be able to run on our defense because no one can or does and pennington isnt going to be able to pass to beat us.. and the phins defense doesnt scare me.. i think pitt would dominate the phins.. so go dolphins

Hey don't underestimate the phins. Last year they sucked ass, and this year turned around and won the division. They are going to ride that high into the playoffs. Just saying....... cause I'm a steelers fan too. I don't want to see them fall due to over confidence.

no your a fan of whoever wins... if you were a football fan you wouldnt cheer for a team you would just watch the game.. you are what is called a bandwagon jumper.. by the time the superbowl is over your favorite team will be whoever won the superbowl

Well my team, the Patriots, are not in the playoffs, so i guess i shouldnt cheer for any team or even watch the games at all for that matter. guess i shouldnt be watching football now until next season. :facepalm2:

well you said you were a football fan and thats why you bandwagon jump.. but now your a patriots fan?.. if your a patriots fan root for the patriots.. if they arent in the playoffs watch the games... dont cheer for other teams and claim them when they win.. so far from what ive seen you have claimed as being a fan of ..... cowboys,giants,titans,ravens,patriots,colts and those are only the ones i can remeber... so as i said if you were just a football fan you wouldnt jump on bandwagons you would just watch and enjoy the games.. and if you were a patriots fan.. as you now claim you wouldnt root for another team unless it helped the patriots and seeing as they arent in the playoffs they cant be helped.. you are simply a bandwagon jumper not a football fan.. im sure you are this way with any sport you watch.. if i had to guess in basketball you like the celtics and lakers.. in baseball the yankees red sox rays and phillies.. in hockey the redwings or penguins.. in college football oklahoma or florida..
 
I wasnt aware there was a rule that stated you couldnt cheer for other teams in sports, but i looked it up in the sports manual. your right. it says you can only be a fan of one team in each sport. when that team loses or is eliminated from playoffs, then you must not cheer for, or watch any more games until the start of the following season. im glad you told me about this rule. :rules:
 
as i said watch and enjoy games .. but true fans dont cheer for other teams.. and its not that you cant but true fans dont ... but you cheer for the teams that are winning only and then when they win claim to be a fan of them.. cheering for a team when yours is out is very different than waiting for a team to win and then claiming to be a fan of them
 
I dont wait for a team to win before i cheer for them. as of right now, i want Tennessee to win the bowl. im making this pick before they play their first playoff game so its on record. i also like the Giants to make it to the bowl in the NFC.
 
I want the Phish to win.

Blitzburgh will deep fry the Phish.

But the 'crows' will feast on the Phish.

So bring on the Bolts-Colts winner.

PIt will just have to beat whoever comes our way.

The Ravens are gonna win.

The winner of the Chargers-Colts game will be more-than-capable of winning in Pittsburgh.

Capable, yes.

But they will not taste the fruits of victory versus us.

Because PIT wants revenge vs. Colts. And they will get it.

Or we will manhandle the limping LDT as Norv Turner stares off into space like he always does.
 
The defense is great. I just think the offense will keep the Steelers from going to Tampa.

Baltimore is the only AFC team who can match the Steelers defensive intensity. Their defense makes plays, game-changing plays on a consistent basis. A game with B'more will go either way.

Indianapolis already won in Pittsburgh. Revenge isn't a reason to believe Pitt will win. Peyton Manning is the best QB in the league for a reason. He has carried his team the entire season and will be MVP. Someone's gonna lose because the other team played better.

The Chargers can beat Pittsburgh. I'm just not sure if the team who crushed Denver will show up. If LT is healthy and the defense continues to play well, they're gonna be the true wild-card in these playoffs.

All true.

But remember that the Ravens have a rookie QB and already lost to Burgh TWICE. 😀

I don't dismiss teh Colts, but a few things:

1. We should have beat them in the regular season. There is/was no excuse for losing that game. None.
2. They've won 9 straight... sooner or later they will have to lose. Odds are.
3. First they have to beat the Bolts, who are their kryptonite.

So even if the Colts DO win, they'll be sore and primed to lose.

Meanwhile PIT will be rested and ready to exact vengeance.

Colts can keep up with PIT, but in the end I think we win it.

And no way do the Bolts beat us. None.
