DON GRADY of "MY THREE SONS" HAS DIED.

ABC News has just reported that Don Grady has died. He played the role of Robbie Douglas on "My Three Sons" and was also a member of "The Mickey Mouse Club".

I watched that show as an adolescent and always identified with Robbie. His passing puts mortality in a new sort of light, since I'm beginning to face my own. It's one of the things which I try to impress upon my (much) younger colleagues in my present teaching/consulting circumstance: You don't have forever.

Yeah, ME-TV is doing a Don Grady marathon in his honor. Too bad for all 3 sons that Fred McMurry never met Florence Henderson and Sherwood Schwartz.
