Hey folks, I've been thinking, can someone ever just be done with a fetish? Recently, my mind has been on other things kink related, and tickling just hasn't done it for me, for the longest time. I haven't even been in the mood to cyber in forever and the people on here who know me know how much I used to love getting creative in role play and having online sessions. So am I done, or did the other kinky stuff just take over for a while?

Ah I've experienced the exact same thing on a fairly frequent basis. Sometimes I just swing away from tickling and other stuff gets my engine going, so to speak--I used to worry this same thing, but I always come back Home.

For myself and others like me who have a variety of fetishes, most of which fit into the tickling scene, it's easy to have tickling constantly running in the background, figuratively speaking, while other kink programs are running--but sometimes it just doesn't want to start up and you focus on other things.

Frequently I'll get moods on me where I like the idea of tickling, but purely from a playful standpoint. All I want is the playful, innocent childlike terror feeling and the idea of tickling as erotic actively turns me off--again, that's fairly common with me and I've learned not to be afraid that it won't ever turn me on again.

In my experience all this doesn't mean you're done, just taking a break. Nothing odd or even unusual about it, and it doesn't mean you won't come back to tickling just as firmly soon enough.

It's normal for erotic preferences to ebb and flow over your lifetime. Sometimes I lose interest in a fetish for a long time, only to have it return in its full glory years later. I find that having a motivated partner influences my interests.

Sometimes I lose interest in all things kink-related, but it always swings back around for me. 🙂 I'd be very surprised if this were permanent.

Totally normal. I've waxed and waned a lot in my kinks -- sometimes none of my kinks do anything for me and I'm really into vanilla sex. Just smile and wave. The interest will likely be back.

I have another fetish besides this one. Well... 2, since I dont like tickling without the bondage. I do from time to time dabble in my extracurricular fetish lolol But you cant be done.


I've always wondered if people who have fetish - full fetishes and not just a preference - have more than one. It seems so! But what are they..? haha 😉

I don't know if I can count tickling as a fetish for me, because it absolutely doesn't HAVE to be present. It's like a sub-fetish. Bondage and general humiliation/power play is, I think, my core one, which is why I can move around within that category away from tickling and still be happy.

But as I said, I always come back around to tickling eventually. Sometimes a hiatus makes it all the sweeter.

A sub fetish huh? Yea that what I was tryin to imply when I said "preference." Thats how I am with my other liking. Even still Ive ever been able to ignore it for long so I'm not sure I could ever just be done with it. Some of my favorite tickling based clips arnt that great by other peoples standards, but all 3 of my kinks are present.
