I bought Doom 3 for the xbox and I think its a fantastic first person shooter. The lighting is the best I have ever seen since the splinter cell series. The drummer from nine inch nails created the music. Single player campaign is fun but if you have xbox live you can play co-op mode, and deathmatch. For all the people that couldnt get the pc version cause you dont have a computer that opens hyper dimensions, you can pick up doom 3 on the xbox. If you pick up the limited edition verision, you can re-live the good old days with doom one and doom II included on the disc.

I give doom 3 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 out of 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

i wonder if doom 3 is better on xbox than pc? is the lighting better? with my awesome graphics, i get scared ****less everytime a monster pops out, never get used to it. one of my favorite games indeed.

Personally, I abhored Doom 3. You only have to do a few things right to make anything "Doom" and I think id just droped the ball on this one. That damned flashlight...that's about the source of my discontent right there. I understand why they did it the way they did. Then intention is for the player to have to make the choice to either be able to see clearly in the dark, scary atmosphere or be able to defend yourself. But this was just poor execution. There is so much potential for an awesome aspect right there. Say you can use the flashlight at the same time as your guns right? It doesen't have a limit or a power meter or anything. You get the flashlight from an NPC at the start of the game and he tells you, "It'll work good for ya, but it's been on the fritz lately. Just shake it around or something if it goes out." From that point on you could have had a wonderful love/hate relationship with the flashlight. At various points in the game it could just stop working. Imagine creeping down one of the dark coridors and it starts to flicker off and on...then comes back on and stays on. As you approach a door it bursts open with some dangerious baddie staring right at you...and the flashlight goes off. But no, no that would have been to much work. Instead you are some sort of inept marine who can't hold an gun and a flashlight at the same time. Hehe, okay okay, sorry. /rant off All and all, in the end, Doom 3 is an enjoyable experience. Just not one worth the launch price of $54.99.

dude you can macro all the guns on the d-pad and use the flashlight. What would be the point if you can see everything, you would blast your way to victory all the time.

There arent that many differences between the pc and the xbox. you can play together with a friend over xbox live and its different than the single player campaign. the pc version has a nice expansion pack. I dont have the pc version cause i rather not spend 3 grand on a machine. Graphically, i dont see a difference. Maybe the xbox can do bump maping if thats the technical term for that shine effect off of objects.

About the price tag. I think you bought the special edition version. There is a regular version for 49.99.

the flash light idea was a great decision by ID, i really don't see anything wrong with the game, except i dare not play this game at night, when i have the most play time.
