Doorway and hallway meetings.

What is it that seems to compel people to congregate in these areas and get in the way of others? Where I work there is a door on the north side of the building leading into a small (maybe 10X14) drivers room. Then, another door leading into the general office area. People are constantly blocking these doors while they talk about this and that. Yes, a minor thing but something I find a bit annoying, as they seem oblivious to those who are trying to exit or enter the building or get into the office. I've noticed this just about everyplace I've ever worked.

My personal peeve is high school kids that clog up the stairwells in the subways, just standing there and yammering away. I often find myself having resist just to push one, so the rest go down like dominoes.

Likely they would not be happy if you said something like, "Use the doorway or clear it, moron." 😛

I kind of enjoy these types of situations. This is when I like to say in an overly loud voice "EXCUSE ME". I really like to do this to people in grocery stores.
