Does anyone remember the time SD Jones won a match? I saw it on television, probably early 80's and he beat somebody who was a decent "name" but I can't remember who it was. Just like one time Rick Martel actually pinned someone with that stupid backslide! I had literally just told a body jokinly that you NEVER pin anyone with the backslide!

Kerry would lose it back to Flair less than two weeks later in Tokyo when Flair reverses a rollup. I think they gave the belt briefly to Kerry because that wasn't long after his brother David died, and that wrestling card was extrememly emotionally charged for wrestlers and fans alike.

I loved that old NWA stuff on Saturday and Sundays with Gorodn Sollie and the actual "studio wrestling". I live near Pittsburgh and we only got the WWF so I got to see Bruno and Andre and the like more often than not. In fact, when I worked at a local radio station I got to interview Bob Backlund. The boy just ain't right!
