This forum is quite diverse, and I thought there might be someone here with e-commerce experience.
I’m hoping to release my book soon. However, I’ll need to be able to receive credit card orders at my web site, and that’s proving to be a chore.
Pay-Pal is highly problematic, and they’ve got innumerable complaints against them, including several from published authors and other small businesses who never received payment. I’d like to avoid them if at all possible.
I’ve researched several alternatives, and they simply didn’t pan out. Pay-quake and two other services looked good at first, but their fees were steep. If I sold 5,000 books from my site, these companies would receive approximately $5,7000 of the profits. That will really add up in a hurry.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I strongly suspect there is a good company out there that could meet my needs. Finding them will be the problem.
