This goes along with Mitch's thread. Anyone in contact or know if the TMF'ers on the east coast are ok? I lost track of a few because of the power lines tanking and snow amounts. We know Milagros and New York are coping but what about friends from Jersey and on up the coast? Any one heard from Persephone, Helena, Lee Allure, Embraceabl, Venray.....? The friends in Boston? Friends in eastern Pennsylvania??

Yes, the Dutch Uncle is coming out in me bad this morning.

I've heard nary a peep from anyone back east, and can't even reach Knox on his cell phone. I hope everyone is safe and warm. Check in and let us know how you are.

last i heard venray is still without power other then that i know nothing hope all is well with the others

we were without power for about 8 hours, we are only about 1 hour west of Ray and things are bad here in CT, CT had the wonderful honor of being the state with the most power outages. Our beautiful abundant trees helped to down power lines. I heard plenty of snap, crackle, pop's in our front and backyards over night. The Parkway behind me was closed for 24 hours, plus this storm kind of caught us all by surprise as it is extremely unusual for this time of year. My son was out with his boy scout troop camping an hour north over the weekend and I was glad to see him home in 1 piece today!

I was fortunate enough to be hopping around to all the right places at all the right times, and didn't have to go without power at all. My apartment lost power, though, and so did my mom's house and one of my sisters' houses. It took me an hour and a half of slipping and sliding to make what's normally a 40 minute drive for a Halloween party. Probably the worst conditions I've ever driven in, seriously. PennDOT fucked up on this one.

This storm was some serious bullshit. Not a fan at all. I want Fall back.

This has been well reported over here in the UK, hope all those fellow TMF forumers affected on the otherside of the pond are safe and well

BrightEyes reported in late last night. Venray was still without power but surviving in his own fashion. Thanks for the other info, guys!

Only five inches of snow in my area, but I was in North Carolina and missed it.

The Yeti and I made it through just fine. We lost power for a few hours between midnight and 430am on Saturday. Luckily we were sleeping and snuggled up under a ton of blankets. It was back to the usual on Sunday. Let's just hope that's it for now. I would like to have an actual Fall season.

It would be nice to get the leaves off the trees before another heavy snow.

I got a call from Embraceabl at lunch today. She is smiling her best and working thru the no power thing. There are trees down everywhere and it may be weeks before they get power restored. She found a coffee house where she can recharge cell and laptop batteries and her wonderful husband brought home some Rube Goldberg that converts power from a running car battery to the house so they can at least get a little heat from the funace and run the water heater then turn it off during sleepy time. They will be OK.
