Ebola patient Thomas Duncan passed away in a Dallas, TX hospital today.

Tragic news. I was saddened to hear that he had succumbed to this horrible disease.

What on earth are you talking about? This has nothing to do with "political correctness" or boasting or a lack of common sense. The point is that a widespread outbreak of this disease in any developed country is extremely unlikely.

Nobody is suggesting that this makes it any better for Mr. Duncan or his relatives, nor that the authorities shouldn't be vigilant and prepared.
