ecw- one night stand

Did anyone catch "ECW-One Night Stand" this past weekend? It was really phenomenal! The matches were all very well done, and the whole night had a balance of unpredictabilty and humor that's been missing from some of the recent WWE PPV's in the last year. It showed that ECW wasn't all just tables, blood, and violence. (well, the tables, blood, and violence showed up during the main event with The Dudley's vs. Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman)

I agree that the show was great. It was much better than any of the WWE stuff they've had in the last couple of years. It's actually a first for me, being newer to wrestling. But, I greatly prefered it over most of what the WWE has been offering of late.

While I do enjoy some of the story lines they do on the WWE, they need to have more true wrestling matches in the mix. It IS possible to find a balance with the two. They just need to work at it instead of rehashing the same old stories with different people in the roles.

Definitely agree; the Pay Per View was amazing. The matches were top notch, the crowd was into it, and the wrestlers were obviously having a blast.

I miss Lance Storm.

And I thought it was good that some people got to be a little more real, and not stick to the storylines drudged over every week. Case in point, "Matt Freakin Hardy". Though it was three words, not two, and I thought the reaction of Edge was priceless.
