Encryption ?

Is anyone else here worried about open plain-text E-mail ?

I've had major problems putting PGP on my machine (it bothers several other software components; and bothers them with royal aplomb) but have found nothing else that would be considered a standard.

(Trying GPG was even worse; they want you to edit your own registry file, and from there it gets worse.)
