I know, I know, nerd alert, but here goes: I just read the confirmation that Star Trek: Enterprise will wrap up at the end of this season. Am I sad to see it go? Yes and no. Yes, because I love Trek and will miss getting a new fix. No, because they were a little cavalier (esp. in the beginning) about rewriting the history. Anyhow, just wanted to rant a bit, and see if anyone else actually cared. LOL.

If this seasons stuff would have been run the first season Star Trek would have been much better.
The first mistake was not holding true to Star Trek History, you loose your geek fanbase quickly(which honestly is a big part), second was this whole 400 years in the future thing...bad stuff happens but we can't tell you anything about it...
Last years run of episodes would have been good as a 5th or 6th season not the 3rd.

The sad part is I really liked the cast of this Star Trek show.
Good mix of talent.

But the actors can only perform what is written for them.

It will be missed but maybe this is the kick in the butt the Star Trek producers needed.
Shame, it had a chance but blew it at almost every turn.

This year's episodes has been very good shame no one was watching by then...

Oh well there is always tickling... 🙂

As much as I love Trek, I believe this has been overdue for a long, long time. The whole thing needs to be put back in the box in the attic for a decade or two.

I watched the series premier but the show never grabbed me. I think the best Trek series was The Next Generation. Second place would be the original series. Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise all tie for last place.

I wanted to give this series a chance, but WB just never came in well for me, even on cable. And I could never seem to locate when it was on. But of all the star trek series to date, it held the least appeal I'll admit. And I like Bakula in other things, so it would have been nice to see him become a hit in another series - especially with as large a fan base as trek has. Oh, well...tv just isn't what it used to be.

I personally hate all star treck shows, but this one looked intresting. (I caught commercials of it while watching SmackDown!.) Oh well. 😛

It's sad, but as previously noted, overdue. The Trek franchise has been sagging steadily over the years, and admittedly, this last incarnation is less than adequate. Bakula is a fine actor, but hardly Starship Captain material. The rest of the crew are mediocre at best, none of the characters actually captivating my interest (With the exception of Hoshi, and that's just because she's so fine to look at). I enjoyed the increased presence of the races that first comprised the "Federation of Planets," and the many references to the first series that I grew up with. I think the extended encounter with the Xindi was the highlight of the series.

I had a difficult time accepting the Next Generation, and didn't follow it the first few seasons. Oddly enough, my favorites of the TV series were Voyager and Deep Space 9. My favorite character among the Treks was the Doctor of Voyager, played "impeccably" by Robert Picardo, who near the beginning of his acting career was on his way to being Jim Carrey before Jim Carrey. Watch the movie "Explorers," with the late River Phoenix, in which Mr. Picardo has numerous separate roles.

A close second to the Doctor would be the brooding Captain Sisko, who hated his assignment at first, then finally giving his existance to it.
