Apparently there's some kind of Eskimo legend about a person/demon/creature of some kind who kills his/its victims by tickling them do death. And get this:

They're making a movie about it!

Has anyone else heard about this?

I haven't heard about it but I clicked on the link and it was an interesting story to read. I'd be interested to know what it actually is.

I seem to remember reading about a Russian version, and I think it was a water demon. Tickled the victims, then took them into the water.

The Russian version you are referring to is called a Rusalka. Before you start googling this, you should know that it is semi rare that the tickling portion of this story is mentioned in association with the Rusalka.
