I have. I grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii, right across the bay from the Kaneohe Marine Corpse Air Base. One night in 1983 I was at the front door talking to the paper boy, who was standing outside, while paying him. All of a sudden a blue ball of light shot out from above my house, it was about a good 700 feet up. It shot out and then stopped in mid air on a dime. Then it zoomed up. Like the guy said above, it was really fast, like milliseconds. It happened really quick, and I said "Oh shit! Look!" By the time he turned around the thing was gone. At first I thought my eyes where playing tricks on me when about 30 seonds later you could hear the scramble siren and every single jet and helicopter that the base had was in the air. There must have been ten helicopters hovering where I saw the thing stop in mid air. Out of all my life living in that house, I have never seen the base scramble that many planes.
