Just wondering if you ever told someone about your fetish and it didn't work out the way you hoped it would?

that would suck! i haven't ever come out and told someone straight up. If I got laughed at, now i'm at the point where I wouldn't take it too seriously. i mean come on, it's tickling!

LOL. No, I haven't. Then again, I don't frame it as a "fetish" either. I just say I like tickling and seeing girls get tickled.

As someone who's in training to be a counselor, with the exception of pedophilia (which can't be cured) we usually don't "cure" people's sexuality. We do, however, make an effort to alleviate judgmental views since they tend to cause people a great deal of distress. :blaugh:
 
i did! on two ocassions. i told my ex-wife and she laughted. and i told my friend and she loved it and infact she wanted to know more about it. and i told her and explained more and it lead to more of a intimate contact on a lot of places and a lot of positions too.

Told my Ex

I told my Ex-girlfriend about it and boy did she laugh!!! Not at me... she laughed because of how much I tickled her after that. 😉

I did tell a friend about my foot fetish once and got the "weirdo" stare. That sucked. Haven't told anyone since.
 
First girl I told kind of chuckled. She was my girlfriend, and I think she was just struck by the silliness of it (and recounting all the times I had tickled her before we got together). It wasn't hurtful or anything, and she was cool with it.

Everytime I've told someone I've been laughed at ..
It usually goes something like this:

Person: Okay ... so what's your big secret?
Me: No nevermind! I can't say it .. it's too embarrassing!
Person: Just say it ... I won't judge you!
Me: Fine ... I have a tickling fetish!
Person: (laughs) What? That's it?! (laughs again)

Every single time! They don't even know! Grrr!

I think when they think of tickling.. they think of the vanilla sense of it. It's just fun! Something silly! Well then you tell them about NEST and show them the wonderful TMF then they know it's a little bit more intense than they thought.
 
I told one girl so far who really doesn't have any connection with my friends. She also knows me pretty well as we use to date. Haven't seen the girl in 2 months.

Either she is back with her ex or I might have told the wrong person.
 
sorta. in college, i told this girl that i knew from high school over the internet. why i chose her, i don't know. we were never particularly close and she never seemed like all that great of a person. I think, after having only told 2 girlfriends who already really liked me, i wanted to hear what someone more neutral would think.

she just seemed totally baffled. kept asking me if i was being serious. sorta ended with 'ummmm i guess it's ok' or something. then when the conversation ended she said "i gotta go....good luck with your tickle fetish" (i never used the word fetish or anything similar).

it was kind of obnoxious, but again, she was not a great person. There are people who will have a bad reaction, but i think mostly it's people that don't seem to be too genuine or nice to begin with. this girl's reaction really didn't phase me. i practically forgot that i even told her about it

However, I have never told a guy friend and don't really plan to. I have a complex that it's an effeminate (sp?) fetish for a guy to have....

Interesting ... I've never thought of any fetishes as masculine or effeminate. What would a less effeminate fetish be?

On topic, never been laughed at in a negative way. But a friend giggled and said "awww cute."

i don't know, i don't really think that other fetishes that come to mind - feet, bdsm, whatev - are effiminate or masculine. i just feel like the tickling one is (or could be perceived that way).
 
Actually, it can be just as weird to BE TOLD by someone else that they love tickling.

A close work friend(a lady) confided in me that she loved to tickle.
And I had never said a word about tickling, I mentioned I give a good backrub and such but never tickling.
I was floored that someone was awkwardly talking to ME about it...

Laughed at never....looked at like i was strange afew times but big deal..I was in my teens then.
 
a few years ago i told my best friend after we had been drinking. we had been friends for years and he had no idea. when i told him he thought i was crazy and kind of made fun of my for a while. i eventually talked him into tickling my wife. now he loves tickling her. he wants to tickle her all the time.
