I think the biggest tragedy of this entire thing was how vastly overshadowed the massive fertilizer plant explosion in Texas was because of this.

It just goes to show news only gets attention when there's a terrorist to demonize.

I'm sure most of us have heard of the explosion, but the only fucking thing I've seen on my TV for the past week is this Boston incident. I think I've seen maybe one little segment on the fertilizer plant explosion. I mean, it's not like it's any less of a tragedy, so it always interests me that things like that will invariably acquire much less media attention.

The Boston event over shadowed the explosion in West, Texas because the fact that the explosion in Texas was just an accident. We heard about it for more than one day as the death toll came in, but no one started it. When it came to Boston, people actually set the bombs off and we didn't know who they were and there was a large scale manhunt and it took days to finally find the people responsible so of course the whole event took a few days to really finish so of course it's going to stay on the news as more information. I still don't think we know why they bombed the marathon. Were they typical crazy people or did they have some kind of agenda?

I don't mind answering that in the spirit of not leaving someone hanging.
The short answer is, not you. I think we see eye to eye on most subjects as far as I've seen.
But if anyone wants to have a tussle over politics, that thread is slowly creeping to the bottom so act fast!
