Women, do you like facial hair on men? I stopped shaving like six weeks ago, I'm growing a very bushy beard. I don't think superficially I look as good, but the manliness I feel far outweighs that. All the stories you've read about lumberjacks or mountain-men, fictional or not, none were ever girly. What do you think?
 
As a guy, I've personally met more women that did enjoy facial hair on a guy (maybe not a full beard, but maybe a lighter goatee, like i have) as opposed to women that absolutely did not like facial hair. I think if you keep it well trimmed then there is definitely a large population of women out there that enjoy the scruffier kinds of guys like you and I.
 
I'm not a woman, but I prefer guys with at least a LITTLE facial hair. Myself, I have a full beard/goatee now, so I live facial hair myself... I must admit though, I think the cleanshaven look is superb for certain people.
 
It depends on whether the facial hair growth looks good on the man and is maintained. On some men, particular styles of facial hair make them look like thugs. Convenient for those who are but not generally attractive on those who aren't.
 
You look at somebody like Venray or Ticklechicago, and they look perfectly natural, to the point where it's difficult to imagine them clean shaven. Sometimes I see guys sporting beards or goatees, and they don't quite pull it off. They look like they're trying a little too hard to look cool, kind of like the guys who wear their ball cap sideways, and their shorts halfway down their asses.
 
i've had a mustache since my junior year of high school ( 1988 ) but now i have a goatee
 
Honestly? No. I think facial hair is gross. Think of all the gross stuff that's in there. Tiny bugs, snot from runny noses, bits of food. Plus it makes men look a lot older then then they really are.

There's nothing sexier then a well groomed, clean shaven man.

Sorry, it's not manly, it's just gross.
 
I began shaving when I was about 13 years old. I despise the way I look clean shaven. I had to shave off my beard when I went into the Navy 25 years ago and I couldn't wait to attain the rank of 3rd Class Petty Officer (E-4) so I could grow my beard back (We were allowed to grow beards and goatees in the Navy back then). Nowadays I have a goatee and I'll keep it until the day I leave this planet. My ladyfriends tell me I look sexier with it... they'd scream in terror if I ever shaved it off.

This is what I look like clean shaven:

I actually prefer men with facial hair. I like goatees more than a mustache, but of course I don't like too much, where you can only see their eyes or something. But a neatly trimmed goatee, and combine that with a bald head................*swoon*

I definitely prefer a clean-shaven face. Some guys do look better with a goatee or something though. My honey keeps his face shaved, although he always has a five o'clock shadow by 11am. :bubble:
 
I prefer men with facial hair. Of course as drew stated, it depends on each person individually and what looks best on them, but as a general rule for me personally, I tend to find myself more attracted to guys with facial hair. Especially the moustache and goatee combo, nicely kept. Mmmmmmmmm. 😀

And they are great tickling tools, too. All Laz has gotta do is kiss my toes and I'm giggling hysterically from the tickles his moustache are giving me. 😉
 
I am attracted to guys that have facial hair,a mustache,goatee or a beard that is trimmed. When I was young,I lived in a neighborhood close to a Fire Station and almost if not all the guys had facial hair and were Sexy !🙂

Now if your a guy that doesn;t have facial hair,it doesn;t mean that I like you any less :twohugs:
 
I've worn a goatee most of the time since '99 or so. There are times when I shave it in order to give the skin underneath an opportunity to breathe.

Back in August, I tried growing a full beard, like the one I had back in my 20s. No matter how much I strove to keep it meticulously clean, it still itched just a bit too much.

The ladies like my close cropped look matched with the goatee, so...

I was gonna offer one of my patented, Hall Of Fame flippant remarks about Maniac's butt hair, given the chance that his butt might actually be where his face might be, in terms of being applicable to this thread; I've decided not to do so 😛 :angel:
 
ive had facial hair since I was fifteen and never shaved it just changed the style. I tried to shave it off once but looked rather weird so I grew it back. I never had any complaints about it so I guess nobody minds. :happyfloa

Um, that has nothing to do with facial hair..that's just a guy who needs a bib, some hygene and maintanence tips. :wow:
 
It depends on the face, I have no preference one way or another. Some guys just look like there's "something missing" when they shave it all off. Other guys, like if their features are very defined or they have that babyface thing going on, I think tend to look better shaved. Like I said, depends on the face.

For the most part I prefer facial hair and longish hair on the head as well. But I've certainly seen the occasional guy who does clean shaven better (IMHO).

Regardless of my preference, I wouldn't ever tell someone they're gross for having or not having facial hair. That would be childish and rude.

Sorry, Red, but that's just how I feel. I'm nearly obsessive with my personal cleanliness. I've been known to scrub myself raw to stay clean smelling and looking. I don't like facial hair. I still think it's gross and not at all manly.

Yep. Just like I wouldn't call someone "Gross" for being overweight.


Things like that just aren't right.


Me personally, I love facial hair, I think in many cases it adds defenition to the face.
 
For me, it completely depends upon the guy. Generally, I prefer a baby face, so no hair. But as long as it is trimmed and maintained properly, it can also be very attractive.

So for me, hairless is great! But not a requirement 😉

Tiny bugs? Do you mean lice?
 
i had a goatee for about 5 years. i got sick of constantly having to groom it, shave around it, and clean up after the whole grooming thing. it's worse than a sick pet. and, for me the skin under it did get kinda dry and flaky at times- not a good thing. i shaved it off a few times, but grew it back because, i guess i was kind of unused to how i looked without it. i found myself pining for a good shave whenever i saw any razor commercials on tv. finally, i got rid of it for good. that was about 5 years ago, and i'll never grow any facial hair again, ever. a few days worth of whiskers is about it.
 
I was told by my girlfriend to "shave that thing growing on your lip or I will pull it out one hair at a time" so its safe to assume I did and I must admit it looks better off but as most people are saying it depends on the individual; some people it suits were others it doesn't.
